The PCH Custom Series Rods utilizes advanced Ultimate Flex Reinforcement (UFR) technology - a process than blends unidirectional fiber over 24-ton carbon into the extend tip section to increase lifting strength and power by over 400%. PCH Custom Rods also feature 9-key models with Medium to Extra-Heavy powers varying from 7 to 8-feet. Constructed with Fuji K-Guides with Alconite Inserts on M, MH, H models and ALPS HXH guides with Zirconium on XH Models. Includes ALPS CAH reel seats, ALPS nonskid rubber butt caps, tapered TPE fore and rear grips on 7-7"6-foot models, and tapered shrink tube for durability and comfort on the 8-foot models. Review: This Okuma rod is like most Okuma products, outstanding in quality and build. I purchased the 7'6 heavy casting. The rod is made with top notch components. The rod loads up well and has great sensitivity and responsive tip for the most subtle bites. I purchased the rod for a trip of a lifetime on the American Patriot out of Marco Island, Florida. And it didn't disappoint. I caught Cobia to 46.5 lbs., Mutton snapper to 16 lbs, Red Grouper to 18lbs, Flag yellowtail snapper to 5lbs and countless Amberjacks and other species including sharks. I plan to puchase the spinning version as well as a lighter casting version. Review: I only used this rod a few times, and liked it until I got snagged on the bottom while rock fishing and the simple action of trying to break free of the snag snapped the rod. 30-60 pounds, are you joking? I was thinking about buying a second one until this happened. Now you couldn't give me one.

One of the best rod I owned and used. Took it on 3 day bft trip down to San Diego. This was by far my go to rod. I paired it with my Penn fth25nld2 and killed 20-30lb yft and bft! No fatigue through the trip! 2 cautions... #1 this is a very stiff rod (not like a glass or mixed rod if you’re used to Calstar or seekers). You’ll have to test casting bait first before slinging it out there. #2 this is not a “true” rail rod. Although the foregrip is longer than most rods, the eva foam is thin. But you aren’t going after cows with this rod. The intend is your 20-30lb set up. The 741xxh-xxxxh is a true rail rod with heavier foregrip set up (which I will write a review on them as well). With that said, lots of backbone on this one. At no point did I feel under powered! All fish came in within 5 min of fighting! Recommend the PCH line!

Rod arrived wrapped in plastic bag. No box. No tube. Luckily it arrived in good condition. Rod feels good, at least through casting on land and in the river casting. It is a rod I did get for jigging from my boat. I will update when I get the boat out for fishing in 300 feet for rock cod. For an expensive rod, where is the hook keeper? The rod has an Avet MXL Raptor loaded with 50lb braid.

Great rods for the price compared to others of similar quality for less than half the price.
