If you want a brutally honest opinion, then AVOID THESE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! **Q: Does it work with samsung smarthings?** A: Yes but only via the link plus module. **Q: will it work as a 2 way switch (3 gang) with another switch that isn't the same (dumb 3 gang on/off)?** A: I would probably wide them line in to this as switch with strippers from L1 and L2. Strappers into L1 and L2 of the 'dumb' switch and common out to ceiling rose or luminaire - simples! If you're not sure about this, then perhaps best to get a sparky in to (gsi not diy) to comply with part P of the building regs. **Q: Does this work with Hue ambient GU10s** A: Not directly no, ie you can’t wire these directly to fittings with smart bulbs. However, if you have Apple HomeKit (using an iPad or Apple TV as a “Home Hub” and either (a) have a neutral wire at the switch , or (b) buy a dimmer with an extra gang (eg 2 gang or more) with the first gang feeding regular bulbs, it is possible to use the dimmer as a remote control for Philips Hue bulbs (provided you have the Hue Bridge of course) or any other HomeKit compatible devices. However this is currently limited to on/off actions only, not dimming. The Hue bulbs should be on a lighting circuit that is always on ( not switched using a light switch) so should probably have a separate isolation switch somewhere. Then in the Apple Home app you add the Lightwave dimmer and Hue bulbs as accessories. Finally you would add some automations to link the two using the Lightwave dimmer as the “trigger” to turn the bulbs on and off. Sounds complicated, and it does require 3 “hubs” (Lightwave, Apple, Hue) but it provides huge flexibility. If you want a simpler but less flexible option (ie only works with Hue bulbs), maybe look at the Friends of Hue wireless switches (Niko, etc). ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Smart home, smart buy *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 12 March 2026* They are easy to install, they replace existing switches, they look great and you can connect them to apple home and control your lights remotely or on timers.I have these installed in my house and they work perfectly. The light switch is easy to fit.I’ve also incorporated into my home assistant and it works great. Ofcourse these are definitely expensive so I can’t afford to do the rest of my house for quite some time but I think they work really well and I’ve actually had no issues with them at all.
