Unreliable batteries
The system comes with two batteries. I only have one dog so I thought it would be great allowing me to switch them out every 12 hours or so. I do not have unrealistic expectations that battery life will be consistent upon every use. I understand my dogs level of activity and my use of the location option can drain the battery, but this is ridiculous! For the first week one of the batteries would last for 12 hours, while the other would only last for only 4 hours on a full charge, I even marked the batteries with a crayon so I would know which was which, and not make a mistake in thinking I was using the 12 hour. Today I put the ā12 hrā, fully charged battery (charged all day and with a green light), but an hour later, the app alerted me that the battery was dead I emailed the company earlier today before this most recent incident to complain of the discrepancy between battery lifeās. Customer service was quick to respond with a canned response saying that ābattery life is dependent on activity.ā I understand they have to say this, since some people may not pay attention to whether or not they put a fully charged battery in the collar; however, My dog would have had a stroke if he ran the battery down after only 4 hrs much less 1 hour so I feel they couldāve been more helpful than only giving a canned response. On the positive side, the system does seem to do a pretty good job of locating him within a few feet, but another downside is that you have to double check when you first install the battery to make sure the app has connected.Another downside is that the alert to the owner is a simple text ding sound, and there is no way to change it so it winds up not being heard half the time because of other messages and alerts that may be coming through throughout the day. It has happened more than once where my dog gets close to the boundary and I did not hear the app alert me. Not good; however, this was the only collar I could find that provides any type of alert to the owner.I know I have said some very negative comments, please understand I do not hate the colllar but there is much room for improvement. Itās unfortunate that I purchased a product I cannot be at least 80% confident in, but it does fit most of my needs as long as I pay close attention to the battery life. I just wanted to make others aware of the issues I have run into. I did see many other reviews, complaining of battery life, but I did not see any comments of the battery life being quite so unreliable.

Love the concept but has room for improvement
Picked up one of these collars recently because I loved the idea of being able to create whatever custom shaped fence you wanted and thought the health metrics was a nice feature as well. First Iāll say the setup was very straightforward and easy to get started. Set up an account through the app, charged the collar and once it was charged the app found it immediately. Setting up the geofence was a little tricky because I live in a wooded area. Being able to see exactly where your property line is can be tough from an overhead GPS image. Would be great if you had a ādrop a pin here" feature so that I could just walk around the yard and drop pins as I go to create the fence. Iāve tested the fence a few times with my dog so far and will say the corrections havenāt worked great yet. My dog reacts to them, but it hasnāt stopped him from continuing to keep walking. I will say my dog is a 6 year old Boston Terrier which is a notoriously stubborn breed so that definitely could be playing into it. Heās also never had any experience with any sort of pet fence so this is new for him. Based on your dogs age/breed, you may have a more favorable response to the corrections. Iāll need to continue to test this out and see if with a little training I can get the corrections to work. The other thing is because Iām in a wooded area the corrections can sometimes be a bit delayed. May make sense to make the geofence a bit smaller to account for this. The notifications it sends to your mobile device when the dog leaves the area are nice.

Had this product for 2 weeks and the battery charger broke!!
We had this product for 2 weeks when the battery charger broke. We contacted customer service and it has taken over a week to get a new one since we started emailed, I still dont have it, it is supposed to arrive Tuesday. So training with my puppy has been completely interrupted and we are just backsliding. The only thing they offered me was a month of no biling for the cellphone plan that you have to have to even use the product. Big deal! Since we cant use the product anyways, we defintely shouldn't be paying for it. So needless to say, we haven't been excited about our experience with this product thus far. You have to have the app open on your phone for it to properly track anything. I did enjoy seeing how much activity my dog got, when it did function, but that isn't worth the $200 we got it for on top of the monthly service fee for the product. Without being able to use it for the geofences, it's basically a fit bit for your dog. We haven't figured out if our dog will respond to a noise and vibration to stay in bounds yet. I don't think we will ever feel safe enough with this product and will most likely be returning it due to the issues we have already had after just 2 weeks, the customer service, and the lack of confidence in the product. We still have a few weeks to make the decision and I will repost what our final decision is on the product. The reason the battery charger broke was also poor design, we did take it apart to look at the reason and one of the prongs it needs for contact was not properly saudered on so it worked for a few charges until the prong moved away. Just poorly made. Again, I will repost our final decision.

Would return if dog did not eat box
The accuracy of the this item is not the best.I have a 65 lb collie/Pyrenees doesnāt even phase her. Also the alerts are very random. Not worth the money.

Interesting product
First Iāll say if you want something spot on for accuracy make sure youāre in a well developed area, my dogs are pretty good about staying in my unfenced yard I just wanted to be able to find them if they did run off and go on an adventure when I wasnāt lookingā¦over all the movement tracking and general health info the collar tracks on your dog is really cool and set up was super easy.
