Make sure there is safety gears
I am very pleased with this bike for my daughter. It is a great size, easy for her to manage, and the colors are absolutely beautiful. It also comes with several useful features and safety amenities that make me feel more comfortable when she is riding. The bike is sturdy, attractive, and well designed. My daughter loves it, and I am very happy with this purchase. I would definitely recommend it to other parents looking for a nice, manageable, and safe bike for their child.

Very Nice Looking Bike
We purchased the 20" Missy for our daughter, who is seven years old and 51" tall. We had considered going with the next size up but decided against it. It was a good choice because we had to put the seat on this bike into its lowest position. The bike seems very well made. However, it's more difficult to assemble than advertised. A few items (e.g., the front brakes and the rear gears cassette) needed some fine-tuning adjustments. I would guess that some of the complaints from other reviewers (e.g., slipping gears) are related to not making these adjustments. If you are familiar with bikes, these items will be pretty straightforward. If you're unfamiliar with bikes and don't enjoy the assembly process for toys and other new things for your child, you should follow the advice on the box itself and take it to a local bike mechanic for assembly. Overall, the bike is the same quality as much more expensive bikes that we looked at in local bike shops. As you can see from the pictures, it has a great "look," and our daughter liked it when we surprised her with it. The basket was a hit. We appreciate her stepping up to hand brakes and a bike with multiple gears. We are pleased with this purchase and recommend it to other parents looking for a nice bike for their child.

Nice Bike, Worth The Price
This bike ended up being better than anticipated. The reviews varied, so I was hesitant to purchase initially, but I'm happy that I picked it up. The assembly was super easy, the instructions are clear and easy to follow and even though I used my own tools, it comes with a nice selection for anyone that may need them for building the bike or future maintenance. Some silicone grease can help with assembly and function but it's not included. Otherwise, once complete you'll only need to adjust the seat and handlebar height as well as the lever positions to the rider. Air up the tires and you're ready to ride. Probably the most difficult part will be adjusting the front brake (maybe the rear too if yours is not adjusted properly) simply because linear pull brakes can be a little finicky, but even-so, we're talking another couple minutes. After a couple rides I'd grab your tools and verify everything is still tight and adjusted properly just like you'd do with any other bike, pre-assembled or not. The color (white) was applied well, no scratches, dings or bubbles. All parts are durable and worth the price of the bike. The multiple speed shift selector had me a little concerned that it would take a bit of time for my kiddo to get used to, along with now using hand brakes, but they picked it up right away. I'm told the seat is very comfortable as-is the rider position. We opted for the rear rack as well, which comes in handy all the time. I'd say this bike is well worth the price and if taken care of, should last for a long time. Should anything change, I will update this review.

Nice bike
Super cute bike and rides smoothly. Not too difficult to put together. I would give it 5 starts but occassionally the chain comes off and has to be fixed. Also, there is an exposed wire that comes from the brakes, it would be nice if it was covered. But overall it has been a great bike.

Genuinely a well made bicycle.
I was very pleasantly surprised, this is so, so much better than a department store bike. We got the 24 inch for my neighbor's little girl since she had outgrown her garbage walmart bike and her mom couldn't afford a new bike. I did a lot of research, I wanted something she liked, but also had gears so she could climb the hills around our neighborhood, and was made decently so I could actually maintain the thing for the 2-4 years until she outgrows it. Out of the box, it needed really nothing. Setup was a breeze, the derailleur shifted great right out of the box with no tuning needed, the wheels were true, the headset smooth and not loose, brakes felt good enough, no stripped anything, and it's just the right size for an 11 year old girl, she has a fair amount of room to grow with it. Still, if you're not familiar with tuning up a bicycle, just take it to a bike shop and pay them to set it up. Your kid will appreciate it. This bike is worth the investment, it's so much better than cheap walmart trash. And for god's sakes, get your kid a REAL, GOOD HELMET that they like the style of. Your kid's head is worth $50-100. Pick out a few different helmets with MIPS protection and let them pick the one they like. The style that goes with this bike is going to be by the brand "thousand" and their helmets are very high quality, and a kid about the size of the 24 inch bike will easily fit a small size.

Some Damaged Parts
Front Fender and Rear Rack are both bent and can't be attached. The top mount on the fender is supposed to be straight, but is bent at an angle, and the silver parts are super not centered. The space between the front mounts on the rack are too far apart, and I can't attach both sides to the bike. I reached out to Glerc last week and have yet to hear back aside from their automated "We received your message!" Amazon doesn't offer replacement parts, only a return, and I don't want to do the Amazon Shuffle where I get a new Bike B, exchange the broken parts from Bike A with Bike B, and return the unassembled Bike B. They're heavy, and the packaging is unwieldy. If it's like Bike A I'd have to unpack most of Bike B, and I don't know if I'd be able to get it back in the box. So I guess I'm stuck with a bike that functions well enough, but it's missing some of the pieces. It's cheap enough that I guess I'll just live with it. Maybe I'll be able to get someone to bend the pieces back into being useable. :/ Other than that, the bike is cute, the right size for me to learn to ride on, and I managed to assemble it by myself (broken hands, know nothing about bikes) in about an hour following the booklet. The chain was not connected to the pedals when I pulled it out of the box, but it was relatively easy to get it back on the gear.

Beautiful bike
Wow, this is a great bike! It is beautiful. Granddaughter is in love! Very easy to finish putting it together. One of the tires did have a hole in it. We replaced the tube and glued/taped the tire to be able to give as gift. Contacted seller, they responded right away with a new tire on its way to us. Granddaughter understood, was able to ride. Very happy with this purchase from the quality of the bike to the very helpful seller!
