Got a jump but after removing the cables it shut down again. Luckily I had a usb charger port with voltage display and it read 10 volts where it should read at least 13.5 while running. That confirmed it was not charging. #1 issue with that is a bad alternator. Ordered it, arrived in the morning and replaced it. Tools needed 10mm and 14mm sockets some extensions and a long ratchet. Be careful threading in the lower bolt must be hand started otherwise you will cross thread it. Take your time. I lube the end of the bolt with a drop of oil to help it get started. This is 1/2 price of Autozone part. If I knew I would replaced it at 100k as a preventable maintenance instead of waiting until the OEM fails because it will. Common problem with RAV4.
