Review: It works well, recommended. - I've used this submersible 'diesel pump' to remove water from the bottom of my heating oil tank. It worked well and pumped liquid up a height of ~1.2M, although the filter got gummed up (i.e. did its job!) a couple of times (which shows the state of my oil tank!). It's very quiet in operation (under ~50cm of heating oil!). The pump was drawing ~1.3A from a fully charged 12v battery pack. The included hose is prone to kinks which stop the liquid flow, to the point where I wish I'd bought or used something else. The syphon effect made this pipe kinking problem worse too. I just hope it works as well the next time i need to use it. :)

A: No it wouldn’t last. Salt water wouldn’t be good for the internals

A: Yes providing you have enough room to get the pump in to the tank

A: This pump is not worth the money. It is so slow

A: Yes , also there are 2 different types , one with crocodile clips , direct to battery and this type for the cigarette lighter socket

I've used this submersible 'diesel pump' to remove water from the bottom of my heating oil tank. Use this for filling a live bait drum on my fishing boat with sea water. Pump works really well for a small 12v item. Let down by a cheap hose (supplied) which constantly kinks. Also the cigarette lighter plug attachment is rubbish, Del to bits first time out but can be easily replaced
