Water tight seal, real sticky
Just used this as a seam seal on the over hang for my outside 75" Flat screen.

good and sticky, it works!
went onto places on my trailer well patching holes made by previous renters. Taped roof seams well too. Months later no areas patched show any sign of release. I can see many uses for this stuff.

Very flexible without loss of performance
I am a volunteer with my local Red Cross chapter. Recently I was charged with the maintenance of our storage container maintenance program. This consists of 20 foot conexes some of which are approaching 20 years in age. These containers had no maintenance during the pandemic. They were also as delivered so the exteriors were untouched. Of the original 27 conexes, 10 were immediately taken off our books. Another 5 were deemed to be too time-consuming to deal with. That left 12 for my team to address and weatherize. Our goal was to apply elastomeric paint to the roof of each conex. Surface preparation consisted of using an angle grinder to carefully remove rust, scale and corrosion along with a power drill with a wire brush attachment to smooth down areas of flaking. Exposed areas were then primed with Rust-Oleum primer before painting. In some cases the surface preparation made holes when corrosion was removed. We tried using duct tape to cover the small holes and them seat fiberglass mesh over that with Sealant and paint over the top with some success. For larger holes we used metal patches with sealant and sheet metal screws but these patches had mixed success. Finally, we hit upon using this product. For small holes we would seal them with 4" tape and paint over with the elastomeric product. Larger holes required a metal patch for structural support but we switched to using JB Weld to tack the sheet in place and seal it with either 4" or 8" tape as appropriate. We would also apply the tape to the ceiling underneath the compromised areas for redundancy to further protect the disaster supplies stored in these containers. The roof surface of a conex is not flat. It has raised ribs all along its surface. This tape is flexible enough to conform to pretty much any area that a hole may have been present. Once applied it is permanent, you can't remove it if the surface has been properly prepared. It takes the elastomeric paint wonderfully as well. While any butyl sealing tape could have been used this product was able to conform to the surface of each container. There were many instances where holes formed in dents or dimples where small pools of water ponded. This product could shape itself to fit those deformed areas whereas others could not.So far this system of repairs has had a 100% success rate. My team is now pushing to try and repair the containers that had been deemed "Beyond Economic Repair". We are convinced that our system of repair can bring these conexes back into service.

Exactly what I was looking for
The this stuff does what it says and is perfect if its description is what you’re looking for. For best results I recommend applying a bit of heat, as it really bolsters the adhesive substantially.
