Our 2 Teen formulas are very similar - with the main differences being: Teen Girl includes Vitamin K2 (not found in Teen Guy) and higher levels of Biotin (60mcg in Girls and 30 mcg in Guys). Additionally - our Teen Girl formula includes lower levels of Zinc (7.3mg in Girls and 11mg in Guys). As our formulas are designed for a specific audience, we do ask that you check with your medical professional when determining if a particular formula is a good match for you or your family.

What is the source of the gelatin in the gummy Teen Guy vitamins?

Hello!

Our SmartyPants Teen Guy Complete gummy vitamins  have a fruit pectin base - however, we do use a gelatin that is pork-derived for the sole purpose of encapsulating the Omega 3 EPA+DHA fish oil.  We have recently released a new Organic/Vegetarian line of our gummy vitamins that will include Omega 3's from flax oil - and therefore do not include gelatin. Do these contain iron?

Hello!
Our Teen Girl Complete gummies do not contain Iron.
If ever taken in large doses, Iron can cause a number of adverse symptoms - it is the leading cause of supplemental overdose. It would not have been responsible for us to include Iron if our (delicious) gummies were ever consumed in amounts beyond our daily recommendations. Additionally - iron oxidizes fish oil, so we couldn't include both in one gummy. Because iron is readily available in many common foods in the western diet, we chose to prioritize fish oil instead. We suggest you speak with your healthcare adviser about correct iron supplementation specifically for you.
