Extremely absorbent, and surprisingly easy to keep clean. I just rinse with soap and water after every usage, squeeze out excess water, then hang on faucet or dish rack to dry. Boil them every couple weeks to sterilize. The patterns have stayed fresh and beautiful, and they never get smelly. Excellent durability.

Work better than paper towels and better than rags. Very absorbent and rinse out nicely. Machine washable and pretty print. When dry, they are rather stiff but very pliable when damp. I drape them over the sink edge to dry. Would be good if there was a way to hang them.
