Perfect for Pencil Drawing
This unique paper is simply perfect for pencil drawing. It's a smooth surface with just the right amount of fine tooth, allowing for high clarity and precision of mark making. It erases more easily than typical pulp paper, and without any damage to the surface. I do wish it was available in larger and thicker varieties. This material lacks the rigidity of normal paper, tending to flop and bend more easily. Must be handled with care. Still, I love it.

Lovely paper, easy to use
This is fabulous paper for working with any liquid media - alcohol ink, watercolor, etc. Highly recommend.

Great paper alternative, made from calcium carbonate
After hearing about terraskin rock paper from a watercolorist friend, I decided to try this paper, which is also made from calcium carbonate. I love it!! I've tried it with colored pencils, pastels, watercolor, graphite pencil, ink, liquid acrylic, Neocolor I and II crayons, and gouache, and tried layering different media, like pencil and ink over watercolor washes. It is really awesome. The paper is very durable and smooth and handles wet and dry media equally well. It is somewhat absorbent, but not nearly as much as traditional watercolor paper. I was surprised by the way it took pastels, and the watercolor washes are amazing. This pad, 11 x 14, is 160 lb., a heavier weight than the smaller pads, which are 100 lb. I've also used mineral spirits to blend the colored pencils. I have not used heat or alcohol ink, so I cannot comment on that. It is definitely worth trying! I think this may turn out to be my favorite art paper.

Love the smooth feel!
Since I work in miniature, I always have my eye out for smooth papers. I love this Yasutomo Mineral Paper!! It works wonderfully well with Intense pencils and I just tried it with graphite...WOW! Super smooth application and no 'paper texture' showing thru. This example is 2.5" square. Since I work in miniature this pad will last a good long time! Very happy!

tolles Papier
Dieses Mineralpapier ist sehr teuer, aber ein wirklich tolles Papier, vor allem für die Aquarelltechnik bzw. Acryltinte. Da Flüssigkeiten nicht ins Papier einziehen, entstehen unglaublich tolle Farbverläufe. Prima!
