Worx WG323 20V Power Share 10" Cordless Pole/Chain Saw with Auto-Tension (Battery & Charger Included)

Bought this primarily for my cabin property where branches have a way of becoming problems before you get around to dealing with them. The pole attachment goes on fast with no tools, and the 12-foot reach handles most of what I need without dragging out a ladder. At 10 pounds it's genuinely manageable extended overhead for longer than you'd expect. That weight spec isn't marketing fluff. You can feel the difference versus heavier saws when you're working at an awkward angle for 20 minutes. Cuts are clean and the auto-tension takes one more thing off your plate. I've used chainsaws where managing chain tension is a constant annoyance and this just handles it. Auto-oiling works as advertised, just watch the oil window and refill before a session. Oil is sold separately, worth noting before your first use. Battery life is solid for typical yard work sessions. I'm already in the Worx 20V ecosystem so the shared battery platform was part of the appeal. Same pack I'm running in other tools. For light to medium branch work without the hassle of gas or dragging an extension cord through the yard, it punches well above its price point. If you need to drop serious timber look elsewhere, but for what it's designed for it delivers.

Wow this Worx WG323 10" chainsaw with extending pole is great. I have to trees that reached there life span and one blew over in a wind storm last month and the other needs to come down. My wife took the short video from out the house window. If the tree blew over by itself it may would hit the house some, that's why I bought this Worx pole saw to try to prevent that from happening. The saw works good just let the weight of the saw cut the limbs if you are using the pole extension. It does have some weight when extended out, I will be 70 this year and it gave me a work out, then it started to rain thank goodness.

I had a couple of days of fun with this. I never used a chainsaw of any kind before but two trees fell across the public path behind the house and I needed to clear the path. We got estimates of $300 and $350 to have it done. I looked at this and convinced my wife we could save $100, and get the chainsaw, two extra batteries, and chain oil if we bought them. So I watched several YouTube clips on using a chainsaw and read all the captions in the manual, then set out to do it. I was impressed right away, it just melted the branches. One of the trees was more than 10” in diameter and that gave pause, but I read it could do a felled tree of 20”. Yes, I would say but with some caveats. I was impressed with: - the apparent quality and feel - the battery life (probably 30 minutes of continuous cutting) - the ease of use Some things I didn’t know that I had to learn: - the tree cannot be touching the ground where you are cutting. The blade must never cut into dirt or worse, so a couple of inches is probably minimum. - if you are wanting to cut a tree bigger than 10”, you need to have access to both sides, plus extra room on the bottom to get the bar underneath. - I didn’t realize there was a pull and push effect when cutting. The chain goes around the top from the saw, so when cutting down there is a little pull and when cutting from the bottom there is a little push against you. It’s not much, but I could see how it could throw you a little off balance if not prepared for it. So make sure to have secure footing before every cut. - always be mindful of the tension on the tree wherever you cut and adjust accordingly. There is potentially a tremendous power that can be unleashed if there is tension. Again, following the caution, always be prepared with secure footing, eye protection and a good grasp of the machine. I didn’t use the pole, but it seems sturdy. It is not that light on the pole (I tried putting it together). It looks like you could extend it longer but the cord limits how far it can extend. So maybe 12’ is it, I didn’t measure it. This is probably my biggest negative. The pole can give you a little extra, which is what I was thinking, so for me that is ok. All around, I would say it is fun to use if you read the warnings for safety. It seems to melt through the wood and something the would have taken an hour by hand can be done in a couple minutes with this. I think if I need to replace this down the road I would opt for a 16” bar, but I am very happy with this.

I bought this after the EGO chainsaw I bought stopped working (after 3 uses, the EGO blower stopped after 1 use) and needed a pole saw to remove a couple dead limbs a little out of reach. PRO: Cuts through 6" - 8" branches very quickly, I was a little surprised by how fast it cuts. Small battery lasted longer than expected, I ran the saw for 15 minutes of cuts (trimming, collecting branches and sawing them down) and the battery still had juice. Lightweight chainsaw. Pole length is adequate for reaching branches up to 10 feet off the ground and with my ladder I was able to reach about 17 feet, I also used a grappling hook from my roof to pull some higher dead branches down to where I could reach them and trim them back, so they didn't overhang the roof. CON: While the chainsaw is light, when it's on the fully extended pole, it is heavier and harder to use than other pole saws, still manageable, but definitely a little challenging. This device worked well for my needs and will be more than adequate for small around the home cutting. You can take down a small tree with an 8" diameter trunk, but if you're job is bigger than that, you'll need a larger saw.

A bit heavy especially for those loooong reaches that are not straight above you. (BE CAREFUL, DON'T DROP A LIMB ON YOU!) The chain is sharp, and oiler works well, just frequently check chain tension so it doesn't pop off. Power is sufficient as long as you keep from binding it up as a limb starts to bend. Overall very nice for non-pro uses.

This little guy is a solid chainsaw. Oil was easy to put I , charged quickly and the speed was perfect on our neighbors oak tree! Ideal for the home.

Works okay as regular chainsaw. Okay at best. There is lag upon pull of trigger, a decent amount of kickback while doing the undercut (although this doesn't happen while using the pole, I have yet to understand why), and the auto tension thing doesn't make it any easier. In fact, now I can't use the bar and chain from my old 10", which is really just stupid. Go back to how it was. Nobody likes it, especially when fixing the chain after coming off, which didn't take too long. Overall, as a regular chainsaw, it cuts predictably so long as it's not using the back side of the chain. I wouldn't cut down anything wider than 8" with it, as it doesn't have a whole lot of torque. Just take it easy and let the weight do the work. While using pole saw: It extends ok, feels like it wants to spring back when fully extended tho, which is annoying. I have to lock it as I hold it open. The lock mechanism to keep the saw on the pole is perfect though. Feels super secure. Another annoying part is switching to the polesaw as you have to keep both ends of the pole from touching dirt, which in this field (no pun intended) is all around you. Maybe a little tripod on one end would work? Idk, maybe it's at its best for that case. It's light even in pole saw mode. I am 130lbs at 5'10" and have plenty of strength to hold it up even fully extended while on a ladder, which I do not recommend for this reason... The bar is straight up and down from the pole. This makes cutting branches that are above you impossible because of the way the branch is supposed to fall. If it were angled I could make my bottom cut then top cut and have it fall straight down. However what happens is it falls where it wants to. I would recommend never using a ladder with this. Which bring me to my next point... At the proper angle. It doesn't have that much of a reach. It's not any more difficult to use a ladder and a normal chainsaw. I don't see myself using the pole much at all for this reason. The charger and battery are decent. The charger is nice and compact with programmed lights for anything it needs to tell you. The battery did not last as long the first time, even though I charged it all the way. It lasted as long as advertised since then. The battery level light is nice too. Overall, I don't hate it, but I don't love it. It will keep it til it breaks. Not being able to change my bar, however, really irritates me tho, and I'd never buy any saw like this again with the stupid auto tension thing. Not being able to change my bar also makes it to where I can't get it out with another bar if it gets stuck. Really on the edge for 2 stars, but for the price, it's not terrible.

Well designed, affordable 10" chainsaw/pole saw. Arrived completely assembled except for snapping the pole saw extension on. Typical of the Worx product line . . . a well-designed and great performing consumer power tool at a fair price. Uses the same 20V Power Share battery compatible with all the other Worx Power Share tools. Nice auto oiling system and a clever auto chain tensioner. Have already used this on some fallen limb deadfall and am 100% happy. Comes with charger and one battery. Happy to add this to my growing Worx collection . . . I also have the blower and weed trimmer.

I used to heat my old farmhouse with wood and am quite familiar with gas chain saws. But I got tired of fighting with my 40 year old saw, trying to get it started. When I opened the box on this WORX saw It looked like a toy in comparison. Lots of plastic, with a guard instead of a chain brake. But you know, it does the job I bought it for, albeit a bit more slowly than a gas saw. And the battery only lasts for half an hour, but now that I'm well into my seventies, that's a good match. So for small jobs this is quite capable. It couldn't handle bucking a cord of wood, let alone the ten I used to cut. It's a bit of a challenge for me to use as a pole saw. Although the saw itself is light, it's a lot heavier that the simple mechanical pole saw I've used before. I wish it had a harness for support somewhere down the shaft. Again though, it does the job. I'm pleased to have removed some troublesome branches and cleaned up some brush at my cottage. It's perfectly suited for that.

Excelente, práctica, funcional, te ahorra mucho trabajo y tiempo en podar los árboles, la batería dura un poco pero creo que con un par extra tienes para trabajar por horas.

This thing works great! We are impressed at how well this unit cuts through high branches. Some quite large. Love how the chainsaw can be removed from the pole and used as a mini chainsaw on its own. Perfect! Would recommend.
