Why have so many people mentioned that there are live worms where as seller claims there are none in the product?

Well, I'm also a customer and have bought only 1 bag(5kg) of this compost so far. Personally, I didn't notice a worm or anything suspicious. Looks good to me.

Can seedling plants be planted only in this compost?

There's no such hard and fast rule. The soil has to be rich in nutrients and if you can make your own soil mix that's rich and fertile, you don't have to plant it in this specific compost at all. This one really helps the plants to grow and stay healthy. However, if you don't know how to make your own potting mix, then go for this one. Mix a part of garden soil with it if you want and use it.

The vermicompost quality is average and works reasonably well for plants. It helps improve soil health, but the results are not very fast.
