Had to order a couple times because first time it was way too big but she has a bigger butt than waist so anything other than leggings fits her difficult. She is 50inches tall and 65lbs, she typically wears a medium but the 8s were almost too big. However the waist adjustment helped enough that these should fit her through the year with any growth and with her shirt tucked in. Their size chart isn't the most accurate but the fabric is nice, both sides of waist adjust, haven't had issues with the zipper. My daughter is 7yr old and I order size 8 slim and it's huge.
