We are also on the Ketogenic Diet for health reasons (Epilepsy for me, Pre-Diabetes and Inflammation causing pain for the mister) so keeping Kosher and Keto can prove to be problematic - especially as we live in the middle of nowhere. Beef Sticks are an important part of our daily lives as they are quick sources of protein without the sugars and sometimes are some of the only meat we are having each day, but finding reasonably priced Kosher ones was starting to get hard. Suddenly, my husband stumbled upon these last week and ordered them right away. So glad he did!First off, LOVE the packaging. Very colorful, informative, and sturdy. Didn't have any issues with any of the actual beef sticks packaged (at least not so far that we've seen). The taste, though, was out of this world! What these are not is a snappy slim Jim. The casing on these is very soft, which was disappointing when I took my first bite. I didn’t read the description, so I didn’t really know what to expect. I ended up putting the box in the refrigerator which gives it a little more firmness, and I think makes them taste better. The first original flavor I tried was also disappointing because it’s not what I was expecting. After eating these for a few days, my taste buds became accustomed to them and it’s all good now.
