The saga of two women against the devil

This is a powerful record of an American and a Chinese women after the fall of Nanking to the Japanese invaders in 1937. The Rape of Nanking are witnessed and documented independently by Minnie Vautrin, and Tsen Shui-fang of Ginling College in English and Chinese. Tsen's diary was translated in English for the first time to expose this war crime against humanity. This side by side, day by day reported what they saw, felt and thought in this dark chapter of history.Their courage inspired films in their stand for humanity, peace and justice in "Nanking" and "City of Life and Death". We see the Tao of yin and yang, life and death, peace and violence, courage and coward, lie and truth from their diary. Now more than seventy years later with Magee's documentary, eyewitness account from International Team, including John Rabe, the Nazi businessman and Japanese news coverage and official documents, why the perpetrators keep on whitewashing, distorting and even denying Rape of Nanking as a Chinese fabrication? This book helps the world to wonder why the invaders do not have the moral courage to apologize and compensate the victims. It helps the world to remember American and Chinese comrades in arm in defending freedom and peace. A donation to Minnie Vautrin Scholarship fund will carry on their legacy.
