I had a different brand fan before but the dimensions were nearly identical to this unit. I can say honestly it was a direct swap out job that took maybe 1 hour. The hardest thing was finding the breaker switch in my basement this fan's AC. This kit had 2 flex collars, the 4 clamps, and even the electric wiring had WAGO connectors for super quick connections. Fan unit is super quiet and generates plenty of draw for my 2 story vent pipe. This is an easy DIY as long as you match up the correct pipe connection sizing.

Works perfect If Installed correctly.I bought and renovated my entire house I few years ago and I didn’t know about Radon until a few months ago and after getting a radon detector, I found that the radon level was high so decided to investigate how to fix this problem. I focused on a quiet and strong fan but it’s hard to make a decision since there is a large selection but decided to buy this one. ( Festa AMG Maverick Radon Fan – 4” ) due to the low decibels, CFMs and price.In my case works perfect because I installed 3” of gravel and plastic barrier before my basement concrete was poured years ago but I would say that installing gravel was the best decision because this way the radon gas is being soaked really fast. In 24 hours the level went down from 13pCi to less than 1pCi I would say any fan will work as long as is installed correctly

My home in Idaho has a vented crawl space which is closed in the wintertime. After testing this space, my radon level was at 47, which is extremely high. 4 pc/l is considered potentially dangerous. Even though I risked a cold crawl space, I opened two vents to allow ventilation. After three days, the level lowered to 5.7 and held steady. I decided to install this fan since it came highly rated. My crawl space already had a .006 Visqueen well sealed gravel floor so the hard part was already done. Installing this fan with ducting to the exterior took about 8 hours and on a 1-10 scale of easy to hard was around a 4. Within 24 hours, my radon level dropped to .03, which I am well satisfied with. Power draw is hardly noticeable in my electric bill.

Did a radon test (charcoal) for an apartment space my daughter is living in, came back at 16pic/l. Bought an Airthings tester and it initially came back at 16 also. Started with windows open and fan on, not a good solution but kept it at about 5. Installed a sub slab set up with this fan and a little bit of poke and hope, but I'm happy with results. The radon is consistently at .3-.5 now, and manometer reads 1.8 water column. I haven't measured the air volume, it seams a little low, but the substrate und the slab is three inches of river sand on hard clay. I'm expecting the volume to go up and the vacuum to drop a little after it has been on for 6 months, and we hit summer, don't know, just guessing the sand will start to dry out and air will flow better.The picture is the air tester, the sharp drop is when I turned this fan on.

Well packaged and arrived on time. Good instructions. Easy to install. Time will tell how long it will last but seems sturdy and quiet.

Purchased this unit to reduce radon gas in my home witch after installing using the sump pit following instructions got my radon gas reading from average 400 to 500 Bq/m3 down to 0 to 10 Bq/m3 within 48 Hrs. One concern that I had was noise from the fan but it is quite and smooth running . I would recommend this product.
