Like a dictionary

I work in an animal hospital and we recently had a new Doctor come in and he mainly uses abbreviations in his writing. This dictionary has already helped my co-workers and I and I just received it about 1 day ago. Absolutely love it. I showed it to management and they’re thinking about purchasing a few to keep in the office.

I purchased this book after entering school to become a Veterinary Technician. I have never worked in a clinic and I am unfamiliar with the terminology. This book has provided me with practical, easy to understand definitions of the terminology I have to study for school. I would have given it five stars but there are a few words I have not been able to look up in it. Besides that, it is an excellent book for people whom are clueless about Veterinary Terminology or who know it, but would like a "down-to-earth" way to describe things to their clients.

I teach a Veterinary Assistant/Primary Care Provider course for the Dept. of Labor Dog Handling program - New Leash on Life - and this book has been an wonderful addition to our library -- simple, non-technical, understandable definitions - my only regret is that the proper PRONUNCIATION of the word is not offered!! And as you know -- some of our 'medical' terms are difficult to articulate properly!

I ordered this book for my niece, who want to be a Veterinarian she grows up. She's 14 years old, and when she opened this up on Christmas day, I never saw anyone get so excited over a specialized dictionary. She lives out on a ranch, and so for the next week after that, she was running around, naming off animal parts and different maladies they could suffer from. It's written in a comprehensive manner that makes it understandable for even her at her young age. A+ for this book!

My granddaughter is a first year graduate vet student and she really likes this book. It had a lot of information that can be used to understand the terms used by her professors and later when she is a vet to speaks to clients.

Currently in Veterinary Technician school and this is a great study companion!

This is an excellent product. This is most useful and portable on my Kindle makes it a must for any rescue organisation and lets us understand some of the more technical terms.

This book should be included in any Animal Science course. There is a lot in it. It could also be read as a book as well as the dictionary. I would not hesitate to recommend it to any one taking an Animal Studies course.Enjoy
