In a waterproof housing.** A: I haven't tried it, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't. It would be measuring the distance to the inside face of the enclosure (if that wasn't inside of the minimum). Very easy to interface to (3 interface options) and extremely accurate. The service was excellent as well.I made an enclosure for it using a small plastic box from TAP Plastics by drilling a hole in the cover using a 5/8" IRWIN Marples Forstner bit. The round sensor housing fits snugly in the whole and nothing else is required to hold it in place.I want to make sure it is clear that the enclosure is not included with the module. I just wanted to demonstrate how easy it is to work with. I also wanted to add a photo of the project I used it on. I'm currently working on adding another one that is mounted on a stepper motor, so it can be stepped through a 160° arc and take a distance measurement each 8° to be able to map out the area.My project is a rover. Please take a look at the video - note the MB101 LV-MaxSonar-EZ1 Range Finder mounted to the stalk in the video and that it is being used to drive the local override of stopping forward motion and to feed the "Distance to Obstacle" information to the cloud.
