I have the textbook soft beachy waves that with prompting can create some good curl. And I’ve tried a lot of wavy hair products to try and get a perfect fit. Verb’s curl gel, Pacifica’s curl creams, DevaCurl’s curl plumper, Moroccan Pil’a curl defining cream- all ok or meh, either too crunchy or too lax or too greasy or not the easiest to apply.This curl whip is SO fun and effective. As a foam, it honestly just feels easier to apply than gels or sprays. It foams up super easily so one push goes a long way. It’s definitely not greasy or heavy. I instantly noticed it got my waves to really curl, with the waves starting better from my roots than other products.My husband even noticed. My utterly oblivious, ‘never notices anything’ husband actually went ‘wow! Your hair is so wavy, I love it!’It also great with just an air dry. My hair looked gorgeously natural - just the right amount of hold! There was no excessive shine or crunch, just soft and well defined waves and curls that feel lightweight and effortless. The next day I misted and re-scrunched and got a whole other day out of just one application, which is pretty cool!I tested a diffuser dry too and the waves held up well too, but it convinced me I could just scrunch and go and achieve mostly the same beautiful effect as a diffuser dry. This is a super great product and absolutely worked wonders for my beach waves, it has been so nice having more of an all-in-one styling product so I’m not juggling multiple items to achieve the same thing.I plan on giving one to my mom who has more defined curls and see how she likes it too.I totally recommend this!

Love this mousse under the Umberto Giannini Banana Jelly. This mousse adds additional hold and helps tame frizz very well. I apply in sections to set hair. I use about a golf ball size dollop and then brush style that section with a Denman brush. Then I scrunch in a generous amount of the Banana Jelly, making sure to scrunch well. I do this for every section. Then I micro plop to get rid of excess water. Then I glaze all my hair with a little bit more gel. Then I hover diffuse until the gel cast is set and diffuse normally once that’s done. I get beautiful spiral curls that hold for days. This mousse enhances the hold of the gel and that makes a big difference in the longevity of my curls. I also like that these two products wash out easily. I never feel like there’s any residue whatsoever. I suppose the mousse could be used on its own depending on the type of waves/curls and how much hold you’re after. I’ve tried lots of expensive stylers and so far these two Umberto Giannini products have out performed all of them.

This has great hold without weighing down my hair. I pair it with the Umberto gel and it's been a great combo! I docked one star only because the mousse can dry out my scalp.

I was genuinely distraught when this disappeared from Amazon and I was unable to order this for like a straight 5 months. This is the only mousse I actually swear by! I’ve always had trouble with my curls/waves being too dry or having zero definition but this mousse paired with the curl jelly has always given me the best results! It’s not drying at all despite having a pretty strong hold compared to other brands such as Cake and NYM. It also smells really really good!

All of his products are great. This is a really thick, fluffy, moose good curl.

This is ok. I don't think it holds well enough on its own which I what I was looking for (i didnt want to have to use a gel too). It has a lot of hype on the socials. Not bad but not as great as I was hoping, but it is more affordable than many other brands so take that as you may.

Honestly I thought it would be bigger for 13 dollars but the way it made my hair shine was impressive!
