Aimpoint Micro Dovetail Mount

I needed this to mount a primary arms red dot on a CZ 457 .22 with an 11mm dovetail. It fits great, just make sure you mount it with the hex head on this left (at least on a CZ 457.) Solid fit.

This mount is disappointing, for the price and brand name I expected something better thought.The typical problem with dovetail mounts is that they walk. Even a small (even "wimpy" by some) 22lr will make your sight move on the rail after some shots.Many dovetail rings have a pin or additional screw to help fix it in place, this one not.To make it worse, the part that is screwed against the dovetail to hold it (sorry English not my main language) has a different profile, more blunt than the fixed one, so they don't give full contact on both sides of the dovetail.I mounted this on a Marlin 60 - yes I know, way expensive sight for this kind of rifle, anyway - and after 50+ shots it will walk on the dovetail, affecting POI.I used a torque-meter to tighten it, and after a couple of times I even tighten it stronger than what the manuals recommend, also tried different locations along the dovetail. I don't want to try tightening it any harder and risk damaging the dovetail/receiver.Guess the Aimpoint will go back to the picatinny mount and wait for the new 300BLK build I'm planning...(BTW the sight is awesome, my complains are about the dovetail mount only)

Does not raise the sight as it replaces the original mount. Perfect fit, so much so, that I do not need to readjust the sight after removing and mounting again. I wish Aimpoint manufactured something like this for their magnifier. I wanted to buy a 3x mag, but realized it would not be in line with sight if I mounted it on top of an adapter. No dovetail option yet. The minus one star is for price. At half price I would have given six stars.
