This is a great basic guide to start your planning to Europe. After you select specific location I suggest you get a more detailed guide to the area. Great general details on travel in Europe like using trains and public transportation, how to not get robbed by pickpockets (which happened to me), and most importantly, how to fit in like a local (which doesn't always work but knowing where to go and how to fit in is great when it does work).
