From Painful to Peaceful in Minutes: A Five Star Scalp Saver
After several days of using a hair growth formula, my scalp became red, tender, and irritated. I applied a few drops of The Ordinary squalane oil to my damp scalp right after shampooing, and the relief was immediate.1) Soothed inflammation & itching within minutes & helped calm visible redness and sensitivity after days of discomfort caused by tight, itchy inflammation.2) It’s lightweight, fragrance-free, & absorbs quickly so the squalane didn’t cause buildup on my scalp or make my loc’d hair look oily.3) Works well with my seborrheic dermatitis-friendly routine and this fragrance free, quick absorbing oil doesn’t sting or trigger flare-ups.If you’re using strong hair treatments and have sensitive or reactive scalp conditions, this is an easy, affordable way to add back hydration and comfort.

Takes a while to absorb but worth every penny!
I kept hearing about this brand everywhere but I was cautious of the reviews because I have sensitive, oily skin with eczema but I love this product! One thing I noticed about my skin is that since I started to use it not only is it baby butt soft but it has helped ease the redness in my face. In my first pic although I have makeup there is a lot of redness on my cheeks from leftover acne marks to inflammation (allergies) but taken today the second picture shows my skin with a more even texture/color.I bought this to help moisturize my skin because I always slumped out on face lotion or sunscreen due to it feeling greasy on my face. The oil when applied to my greasy kitchen face feels a liiiiiittle bit heavy but it soaks in after you give it some time. I read online you are supposed to add 2-3 drops on your face. Well I have a fat face because that wasn’t enough so I take 4-5 drops in my hands and rub it in my face. The instructions also say to pat it on so it goes deep in your pores but I gently rubbed my face. I know rubbing your face causes wrinkles but rubbing it in for a good 30 secs really helped the oil soak into my skin. I use a mat tidying moisturizer after this and it helps my oily face soak up all the good stuff within ten mins. (Moisturizer is Origins Matte Moisturizer with Willowherb). It could be my combo of the oil and the lotion that makes my face absorb it all but I highly recommend both because I did not react at all to either. Now usually my eczema reacts nasty to some skincare products but not this oil. The oil does not smell either. Before this I tried the Radha rosehip oil and that smells like moldy crayons but I cannot smell anything with this!TIP: buy from the actual Deciem site or Sephora because it’s cheaper than Amazon. I paid 14$ for this because I desperately needed something to Moisturize my face and I have no regrets paying the extra money.I do wish this company would come out with a 2-4 oz size of this bottle because I would definitely hand them more of my money. This product will make your skin softer and did not cause me to breakout (allergies or pimples). If you have oily skin I would really recommend a matte lotion on top of it or mixing some drops with your lotion in your hand or a cup then applying it. I have no patience and I do the oil first wait a minute for my face to take some of it in then apply my eye cream/lotion on top of that.Good luck!

Excellent Quality
I have ordered this product twice for myself, once for my daughter. I just love it—rich, smooth, so reasonably priced. This is a brand I trust and am never surprised at the excellent quality.

Wonderful for dry skin!
I have very dry skin, which isn't helped by living in Arizona. I decided to try this serum based on the recommendation of a YouTube influencer. I use a topical Vitamin C daily, followed by Hylauronic acid serum. I've started applying the Squalene as the next step (followed by a moisturizer and sunscreen). It's somewhat thick, but it seems to seal in the hydration provided by the other serums. I've just used it a couple of days and already my skin seems more hydrated and smoother under makeup. I love that this is so affordable, too, and a little of this serum goes a long way.

Nice option for squalane oil
I've been wanting to try 100% squalane, and was happy to find The Ordinary's offering on Amazon. It would cost less to order from The Ordinary, but Amazon (prime) is move convenient and I feel sure I got it faster. The Ordinary is no longer carried by Sephora, so that makes it especially nice to see it on Amazon. The Ordinary, even at Amazon Prime's price, is a way better value than some of other brands out there. One advantage of some of the more expensive brands, though, is that they disclose the source of the squalane, which is usually sugar cane or olives. I guess it shouldn't matter (as long as it's not from shark livers, whole other story there), but I would like to know.Ok, about how the product performs: I wanted to add an oil to my skincare routine, to see if it would help with issues of aging. Normally, I use light gel-cream moisturizers and was thinking that, while I'm getting enough hydration, I may not be getting enough moisture. And squalane has a reputation for being a non-greasy oil, and it is often recommended for aging skin, as our skin supposedly make less and less of it as we age. So I tried it, pressing it into clean skin. It feels really nice, but is still a little too oily/heavy for me (it does seem to continue to absorb during the day, but not as much as I'd like). I am now experimenting with blending a little of it into some different serums and moisturizers. Here is another way I am using the squlane oil, which is as a "carrier oil" : I have seborrhea (yuck!) in my eyebrows and am trying tea tree oil for that. But alone, tea tree oil is too strong and really needs to be mixed with a carrier oil. I had been using olive oil, which is very greasy. Now I'm mixing a about ten drops squalane with ten of tee tree oil (still pretty strong, you may wish to dilute the tea tree oil more than that). I like this!

Great for Malassazia prone skin
I purchased this product because it’s versatile and can go on the skin and hair. I was afraid it would be too thick since I previously using sweet almond oil but it is light and not greasy. I switched to this one because a friend recommended it as I am prone to malassazia ( tinea verdicolor) outbreak on my skin. This oil doesn’t feed the skin fungus.
