Zesty Paws Salmon Oil for Dogs - Skin & Coat Chews, Salmon, 90 Ct

My dogs, all 4 ( 2 Aussies,1 border collie, 1 German Shepherd), love these! I was looking for an omega mainly for their coats, in a soft chew. My GSD is 10 and surprisingly these have helped her dysplasia pain, and we've been able to cut back on her vet medication. Her coat was getting dry and is shinier now. She has gotten more energy and plays more even! All I've changed is adding these to her food ( 3 for her size), so they must be working. One of my Aussies, 5yrs old, coat was getting dull and just not the same quality it had been. She actually grew in different hair!! Softer and silky like my male. Now don't get me wrong it's still not perfect, or gorgeous like my 4 yr old male, her half brother, but much better. One thing I like alot about these is that 3 of my pack have sensitive stomachs, and they tolerate these and seem to love them. And never puke them up..a big plus. Dogs love smelly things, and these do of course have a fishy smell that I'm not so fond of, but I have my own omegas :) All my dogs have thick, shedding undercoats that I brush at least every other day, and are groomed regularly. I haven't noticed these help with shedding, but their healthier coats, the pain relief and other benefits of omegas are good enough for them :) I buy 4 tubs at a time and think I've used them now for about a yr. So, yes so far they deserve 5 stars. A bit pricey when you have as many dogs as we do, but they get the best of everything diet wise,training, love, and care that we can give them. Zesty paw chews are just one of the many extras they get and worth it!

My schnoodle boy Charlie LOVES these! I call them his “vitamins” and he totally knows what it means now when I ask, “Do you want your vitamins?” He gets a real urgent look on his face and runs to my desk where I keep them :) I started him on these due to a back injury he got from jumping off my bed. The vet said now that he’s 8 yrs old, he can’t do the things he did when he was younger. The vet suggested Dasuquin, Fish Oil and a bed ramp. She also mentioned the benefits of DHA to retain healthy brain function in aging dogs. The vet provided the Dasuquin, the ramp is all set up and being used, but it was up to me to research the correct fish oil supplement. These salmon bites fit the bill perfectly! They provide all I was looking for, and so much more. Plus, they clearly taste good, because he’s so excited to get one every morning. With these salmon bites being part of his daily supplement, I’m now confident to take my fur baby into the next chapter of his (and my!) life :) ***Update*** Charlie has now finished his second container of salmon bites and I am a firm believer that this product works. His hair is actually silky now. He’s soft and smooth all over but with no oily residue or off putting odor. If he’s this smooth on the outside, I can only imagine how his joints are feeling :) Charlie has always been fed high quality food and at many times received home cooked meals. None of it made him as silky as he is now. These bites work and I will continue to give him one every morning. He still runs around crazy when I come home and is always happy to go on long walks. People are surprised he’s almost 9. He acts much, much younger. If he’s happy, I’m happy :)

My dog was ALWAYS itchy. It used to wake me up at night and I could tell it frustrated her, too. I came across these treats when I was looking for remedies for her itchiness, and I thought the price was reasonable and the reviews were promising. Half-way through the first container, I could tell her fur was softer and she was scratching less! Plus, she seems to really love the flavor. They are stinky beyond belief, but it's worth it knowing the supplements are a 'treat' to my dog, and they are helping her be more healthy! She's a German shepherd mix, so she'll be prone to joint issues as she ages - I'm glad these treats help with that as well. I recommend these, for sure! Just give them a try!

I’ve been buying these for years for my previous half- English Bulldog, half-Boxer and currently my English Bulldog. These breeds have skin issues so the fish oil is important and it’s always been a huge help. Until the most recent package I purchased, my dogs loved these treats. The most recent however was bad smelling and had this white powdery substance caked all over the treats. My dog begrudgingly ate it, and his fur’s healthy but if this continues I’m switching brands and if they resolve it soon I’m revising this review to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

I can’t testify to the effects on excessive shedding buts this treat is the highlight of the day for my boy!

My poor Shiba has had a bald spot on the back of his neck for years but after giving him these supplements he no longer has a bald spot!!! Yay!! Now my relatives can't make fun of him :) the smell isn't the greatest but totally worth it! I just make sure to combo it with a greenie and he's a happy boy. I've never seen his coat look so good and I'm excited to see how fluffy he gets for winter.

Been feeding to my Aussie for seven years. Contributes to a beautiful coat and decreased shedding. However product quality has decreased over the years. The size of the individual chew has gotten smaller. Many chews arrive damaged in the package broken into smaller pieces. And the price of the chews has risen significantly. Disappointed their QC is so poor and they've shrunk the product all while charging lots more $$$.

Our Aussie started scratching constantly and it was driving us crazy! (I’m sure she didn’t like it much either.) Her coat went dull and coarse as well. Everywhere we looked said it was allergies so we tried Benadryl (per the vet’s recommendation) and switched her to a limited ingredient dog food. Nothing really helped, and we were starting to worry that she had developed an allergy to something in our new home that we wouldn’t be able to find. We saw someone recommend salmon oil for itchy dogs and as a last resort gave it a shot. These things have totally changed her life and we’re not even halfway through the bottle. She’s not constantly scratching anymore, and her coat is starting to go back to its soft and fluffy state. I had seriously low expectations for this experiment and it blew them way out of the water. I still don’t know what caused her to develop those symptoms, but I do know they stopped once we put her on these supplements, even after nothing else helped. I can’t say enough nice things about these, and I’m so glad we found them. As an added bonus- our 7 year old dog loves them so much that she’s finally willing to learn some new tricks we’ve been trying teach her for years. 6 years of asking for a handshake and all it took was a month of salmon chews. Who knew?
