California Costumes Women's Pilgrim Woman Adult

The pilgrim women's dress and hat appear to be of quality fabrication considering it's a costume and the $26.00 price point at the time of this review. The one piece pilgrim dress runs a bit small - I'm 5ft 4, 104 pounds, and wear a size xs / sm (2-4). However, according to the reviews for this item, numerous customers recommended going up at least one size. Of course, costumes often run a bit small. Therefore, I ordered a medium which fit comfortably and cute with a nice long length that fell approximately 2 1/2 to 3 inches above the floor. I'm not sure if the hat is a one size fits all, however, it was a good size and scale for my small - average size head. Also, the costume arrived quite wrinkled but can easily be removed using a steamer or iron. As well, the velcro used to secure the back of the costume's neckline is quite flimsy. I think the closure could have been improved using a button, zipper, hook and eye, or snap. I'm looking forward to wearing this costume which will certainly add a fun and festive pilgrim vibe to my Thanksgiving celebration. ***** I personally think the hat looks much nicer tying the tie in a bow and tucking it underneath the back of the cap so it's not visible! *****

Order a size up than you normally wear. Good outfit! Silky material.

I think you’re getting what you’re paying for. Don’t expect wonders, because the fabric is very cheap and looks cheaply made, but I think it looked great as my Halloween costume. Be careful because you’re not supposed to machine dry it. I bought and XL because I didn’t wanted it to fit too tight, I normally wear a size L, and I think the body part is almost too tight for an XL, though the sleeves were more roomy. I thought it was very comfortable and could dance all night in it.

This costume was almost perfect. The bodice was tight, however it did graciously state that before I purchased it, but it was still okay. No bonnet to be found and I ended up wearing a large bow in the back of my hair. October is Family History Month in the United States, so dressing up as your ancestors is perfect. Halloween costume makers please remember and make whole costumes including a hat or bonnet. The costume needed to be steamed before wearing which took some time because it had very strict instructions on the care of the product. Which is very nice of the manufacturer to do that! I'll try to loose a little before I wear it again because it is a very stately costume. I was in the finals, but got beat out by a Zombie who was a professional actor.

Surprisingly comfortable, fit great. I used it as a tour guide in Salem, MA and the tourists loved it!

Great outfit. Wore it for our Thanksgiving party. It's an XL and it could have been a tad bit bigger. It worked tho. It was fun.

Surpassed my expectations honestly. Ordered this and a costume for my son for Colonial/Revolutionary Days. Opened my sons costume and it was cute but scratchy and stiff so I expected the same from my costume but was very pleasantly surprised. Soft nylon fabric (like a thinner yoga pant). I am 5"10 and this went to just above my ankle so good length - ditto for sleeves. It was comfortable as I had to wear it and work hard/run around for 6 hours. Great pilgrim costume. Good for colonial days. One of the dad's mentioned this would be perfect for the crucible as well!. Great costume at great price.

Okay. I realize this is a relatively inexpensive product, but for heavens sake, why can't they sew the seam on the apron straight? I've received two of these costumes with a noticeably very crooked apron seam. This sits directly in the front...elsewhere and I probably wouldn't mind so much. Aside from that, keep in mind this costume (and many costumes in general) does run on the smaller side. I typically wear a 6/8, but ordered this both in a medium and large to compare the fit. The large fit me better with the sleeves hitting my wrist at a good length, as well as being comfortable in the bodice. This costume looks pretty nice on. The apron is stitched to the skirt, but I didn't see that as a negative. In fact, it looked quite nice with it's lace trimmed edges and has a good swing to it. The material is synthetic, but not hard or scratchy. If you are a larger gal, the large probably won't be large enough. As I mentioned, these do run a bit small. The medium fit okay too, is slightly less roomy in the chest and a tad shorter in the arms, but the fit too was negligible. The biggest difference I noted, was the medium being more snug when pulling it over my head, as you will need to do to put this on. There are no buttons in the back, but a small strip of velcro where it closes at the nape of the neck. The bonnet looks quite nice with just the right amount of fabric to cover the sides of the face and fold over design. It has a ribbon tie at the chin. The one thing I would add to this costume (which would be very easy to do) is to attach a wider, longer black satin bow at the front neck area for a bit more flair. Other than the stitching issues, it's quite pretty on, is figure flattering and fit better than another women's Pilgrim costume I reviewed here.

Este atuendo llego a tiempo, le quedo a mi sobrina de 12 años se compro talla XL ( y le quedo bien para una niña alta o mujer adulta de 1.68cms y delgada le queda bien, nos gusto se siente bien, el mandil ,el cuello y puños vienen unidos al vestido, y lo hace ser 1 pieza, el gorro le quedo bien a su cabeza con las cintas se ajusta a cualquier cabeza, buena compra recomendable
