Only thing I found to strip old lead paint
Have used this beforeIt will take off multiple layers of lead paint which is near impossible to get off otherwise. You do have to neutralize after stripping but it's easy. Just follow directions.

It works. Follow instructions and read the material data sheet.
Use the Dumond paper; itโs a must. The stripper takes off multiple layers of paint and varnishes as long as the paper is used bc that is what keeps it from drying out for 24 hours or more ( maybe 36). I used it on a wooden door that had a stubborn reddish varnish that showed through paint. When I used Peel Away and the paper everything came off to the bare wood. My house and door are 80 years old. The wood is okay, no damage from the stripper.

Don't use if staining wood
Well, It did take the lead paint off. It also left dark alkaline stains all over the dresser that won't come out after multiple coats of neutralizer. Would probably work fine if you plan on repainting something, but absolutely ruins any wood staining projects.

Actually Works!
This worked really well on a very old cabinet that has been in my family with generations. The many coatings were at least 60 years old and they all came off with one application. It does however take a LOT of product with a pretty thick layer to be successful.

It works!
This stuff is amazing. It just about theonly thing that works to remove layers and layers of latex over lead paint, without damaging the wood underneath. I am going to use it for my entire 1930's bungalo and reatore the home to its former beauty.

It works.
Verry messy, but effective.

Buy something else!
The product actually does work as advertised. My problem is the manufacturer puts the trowel and special paper inside the bucket. What a terrible way to sell a product. I have purchased 2 tubs of the stuff and both times the paper and trowel have been buried in the paste . What a mess! Also the USPS destroyed the boxes the product comes in. Between the manufacturer and the shipper I would never buy this paint stripper again.

Quality product
Used this on my trim with around 30 layers of paint. I let it sit for about 24 hours and the paint came right off. The smell is strong but mild compared to the products Iโve used prior.
