The VTech VM928HD Video Baby Monitor allows you to check in on your little one on the industry's largest 5" parent unit in 720p High Definition. Enjoy the crisp and True-Color videos in a large screen with 110 degrees wide angle, thanks for the monitor system's state of the art COMS image sensor. Plug & play, the monitor's parent unit and camera are configured for local monitoring out of box. Intuitive to use, the camera pans up to 270 degrees side-to-side achieving 360 degrees field of viewing, tilts up to 100 degrees up and down, and zooms up to 4 times from the parent unit. Featured great features such as 2 way audio talk, 4 soothing sounds including white noise and a trickling stream, 5 lullabies that play right from the camera unit to help baby sleep tight. Even after dark, you'll be able to see your baby clearly thanks to automatic infrared night vision in HD clarity. The parent unit's screen is sound activated which be turned off to save power until it senses baby's cry or reaching your preset VOX level. I purchased the VTECH 5" HD baby monitor to replace my overpriced and underperforming Owlet Cam, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The camera quality is excellent, providing a crisp HD image. It's packed with features like noise, motion, and temperature alerts, which work reliably without constantly giving false alarms. It is also a direct secure link between the cam and monitor unlike expensive wifi / app based options, which are more susceptible to hacking. The temperature sensor is spot-on, which is a pleasant surprise compared to some of the more expensive options that can’t even get that right. It also comes with options to play white noise or lullabies, a great touch for soothing the baby. One of my favorite features is the color indicator from green to red based on ambient sound, making it easy to glance and check on noise levels. ### ⭐ 6 months in really disappointed

On my second one of these in 6 months. The first froze in the middle of the night and I didn’t know it . When I woke up I tried turning it off and the entire thing was frozen and shot. The antenna on that one had also come lose. Now onto my second one that I’ve probably had for 3 months, the lock stand broke off and now the battery is shot - says it’s dead after a night of charging and needs to be plugged in 24/7. This is one of the only non WiFi monitors I could find that worked well in an old house with thick walls. I can’t believe I now need to spend more money on a new monitor - will not be buying this one for the 3rd time.
