How do oyu replace the battery on this item?

How tall is the staff? "Standard" for size doesn't inform people of the inches.

My son is 5'5 its taller than he is by about 4 inchs. It glows which I didn't know when I bought it. Think they mean standard adult. But he loves it and was very excited when he found out it glows. Its well made and looks great. Hope that helps.

How to replace light?

There is no light in it. It doesn't light up.I was very disappointed in that. I should have researched it better.

I think the staff purple sphere has something broken inside it. Something is rattling around in it. Is this normal?

Probably, it's very cheaply made materials. I wouldn't be surprised if it was damaged in transit which is causing it to malfunction or broken. My staff didn't have any issues, but after holding it for a few minutes I could tell it was poorly made.
