Love the item! But I have to get better popcorn. I just got the cheapest to try it and it doesn’t taste that great and a lot of the kernels didn’t get popped the first time but I read the instructions and I was able to do it the second time. The instructions did say that it depends on the popcorn you have with the outcome is. So I can’t wait to go get some good quality popcorn to try.

In the instructions, it states to use the “popcorn” setting on your microwave if you have one. I thought to myself, “what difference does it make which setting I use????” So I put it to the test. The first time I used it, I used the popcorn setting on my microwave, and counted 8 unpopped kernels when finished. (Yes, I counted) Incredible! Then I popped a bowl on “high” and there were about 30 unpopped kernels. Not so good! In both instances, I popped the kernels until there was 3-4 seconds between pops. I did not walk away! So the next evening (yes I eat popcorn daily as part of my weight loss diet), I popped another bowl using my microwaves popcorn setting. ONLY TWO UNPOPPED KERNELS!!!! Amazing!!!!! I don’t understand why it pops so much better using the popcorn setting on my microwave, nor do I care to understand why. I just know that this thing WORKS! I love it. Keep your eye on it when popping and when there are 3 or 4 seconds between kernels popping, it’s done and shut it down before the popcorn begins to burn. Do not just walk away and let it pop until the timer is up. If you do not have a popcorn option on your microwave, I WOULD NOT buy this popper. My microwave is a 1250 watt Panasonic for reference purposes. Enjoy!
