Nice quality, very powerful. Used them the make a streamlined ir illuminator for my vr headset and it's working out nicely.

Make sure there’s a resistor if the load is too much.
Worked well connected to a 4 DD pack.It gives off a little heat when on for a hour.Helps protect your home from Night Vision intruders or nosy neighbors.

It Works!
So far, I have run one LED up to 100 mA have gotten a strong voltage out of a small solar battery near the LED, indicating that it is working. There was very little heating of the thermal pad on the back of the LED at that low current, but I am sure that a heat sink connected to the thermal pad with thermal grease will be needed at the higher powers. One note about the claimed powers in the web page: They appear to be to high by at least a factor of two. The reason is simple - you cannot get more power out of a device than you put in. The forward voltage times the current gives the total power input to the LED. At the lower current, this is 1.8V X 0.35A = 0.63W. At the higher current, the power is 2.2V X 0.7 A = 1.54W. The light output power will be lower in both cases than these numbers because the conversion efficiency is less than 100%. If these lower powers are acceptable, as they are in my application and if you are willing to provide any necessary heat sinking, these are very nice LEDs.
