Nice solenoid to get your diesel going again!
This is what is called a pull hold solenoid because it has two stages. First stage is a high current pull coil that gets the rod down. Second stage is a low current hold coil that just keeps the rod in place. A lot of times these fail because the keyswitch is keeping the pull coil energized and it overheats and fails. Something to consider if yours failed. That's why its usually a good idea to replace the keyswitch along with this to be safe.This solenoid is a direct fit for replacement and looks like a quality part. Its an easy swap with an adjustable rod to get the action aligned with the fuel shut off handle motion. It should last quite some time as long as you verify the pull stage is shutting off after a few seconds. Its also a great value because these usually cost double what this is priced at. Especially if bought locally at a parts house.

Absolute junk did not last one day.Do not even last a day. Keep blowing main power fuse because its shortes internally. Do not waste your money on this pos just the the oem one and same your self the hassle and labor to replace it
