Durable and EFFECTIVE
Dude, I don’t leave reviews, and I’m leaving one. This thing WORKS.I have a Great Pyrenees, and if you know anything about GPs- they. bark. Endlessly. At nothing. Into the abyss. It’s just a breed trait that all of them have.I just moved into an apartment, so while I find his barking and whining endearing, like he’s talking to me, my neighbors very quickly did not, and I got a noise complaint within my first 3 days of moving in (completely understandable). So it was time for a bark collar. I didn’t read any reviews, just went with one that seemed durable and well rated. That landed me with this collar. This thing has 3 settings: beep, vibrate, shock. So sick that I don’t have to immediately shock him so he’s not confused or scared. You can adjust the sensitivity and use the settings interchangeably. I tested to make sure it works, set it to the 3rd setting, put it on beep mode, and put it on him. My dog barked ONE time, and as he went to bark again, the beeping distracted him into stopping! This has NEVER happened. He listens to, “no,” 99% of the time- save for when he barks. And when he doesn’t listen… he does. not. listen. This is a LIFE saver for stubborn breeds. I am appalled at how well it’s working. I’m sure he’ll quickly realize it’s just a noise and I’ll transition to the vibrate setting, which beeps first as a warning and then vibrates if the barking continues- but honestly I’m THAT impressed that I took the time to write this. High tech, actually works, durable design. I’m sold.

A humane way to deal with loud barking
I have never had a need for one of these. But my 5 year old Australian Shepherd has an annoying happy bark whenever I get into the saddle to ride my horse. It only lasts 5-10 mins before she settles but, oh, that time is so annoying. And she goes crazy barking when I pick up car keys. I’ve owned 3 other Aussies and never had this problem. I got this collar yesterday, with much trepidation. I would never use the shock feature but the noise and vibration seemed a fair thing to try. Okay, you have to know that Aussies are highly intelligent. I strapped on this collar and when she was released to go out of the door she did her usual barking, announcing to the world that she is there. The collar sounded the beep very loudly and vibrated. She took a couple of sideway steps and then was fine. Quiet reigned over the land. When my son came home she greeted him with a quiet talking voice.. (No reaction with the collar). She discovered quickly how to be verbal in a quieter way. This morning, the second day, she barked once and was alerted by the collar and not another bark was made. My son was amazed at how quiet and calm everything was. I take the collar off indoors because I have an Aussie pup that I don’t want setting off the collar. This thing is phenomenal. I can’t wait to try when I go to ride my horse with friends and I’m not screaming at my dog for the 1st 15 mins!

Must have! Humane solution to barking madness
Great solution to eliminating unnecessary barking. So great I bought it twice. The features are perfect for training. Beep, vibrate, or shock. I don’t use the shock setting for personal beliefs but the beeping and vibration have worked wonders. The dog we have just barks and barks literally at invisible things. We use the beep and vibration at once feature as the beeping didn’t resolve alone. After one mid bark, he would stop. Now, with the collar on he seems to know not to bark at all.I will add, if he’s near our other dogs when they give off a bark or two, it does trigger the collar to go off. But we do keep it as the highest sensitivity because he was uncontrollable at one point. I’m not sure if this doesn’t occur with the lower setting. You can put the safety covers on the prongs for a more comfortable fit on your dog. And you DONT HAVE TO USE THE SHOCK FEATURE. However. If you must the covers ease the shock a little more which is more like a strong stimulus reactor not like a taser shock. Try on it your own skin, and that is what the dog will feel. Your discretion but literally less reactive than most shock featuresOur other dog chewed off the collar. And the peace and quiet immediately stopped so it was a must to repurchase!Easy to use and activate. Charges quickly and lasts long, a few days. Highly recommended for a more humane approach to stop chaos.
