8.4" Uconnect Touch Screen Compatible with 2017-2022 Dodge RAM

This is great. The OEM screen on my 2017 Charger RT suffered the goo detachment ghost tap problem about a year before I purchased this. I first went with the cheap replacement touchscreen option off eBay, carefully prying the OEM touchscreen off the display screen (slightly damaging the display screen in the process) and making a big gooey mess. That worked, for a time, but the cheap touchscreen eventually failed.I purchased this replacement screen and received it the next day. Having experience with removing the dash trim, taking out the radio unit, and documenting the wiring, getting ready for install was no problem. I had already cleaned the goo from the OEM screen so that was no issue either. Installing this replacement screen was as simple as clicking in two ribbon cables (be sure to get them seated properly before locking down) and setting some screws. Pro tip: when you remove the set screws from the back of the radio unit, use both hands to keep the radio unit held together as you flip it over - otherwise the circuit board and its spacers will become unaligned and it's a real pain to get them back in place.Reinstalling in the vehicle was made easy with my prior documentation of the wiring, and on boot up the screen looked and functioned perfectly. The radio unit did show as Chrysler as expected until the Charger had a chance to communicate with it, but that was expected and no fault of this replacement screen.Overall I am overjoyed with the quality, fitment, and functionality of this replacement screen. Highly recommended.

Easy to install. Didn't come with the ribbon cable, but I just used the one from the old screen and worked great. Looks good so far with a high image quality on-screen. Would purchase again.

I bought this screen when my screen started getting the Ghost/Phantom touches. I found out that it is a common thing in Dodge/Ram/Chrysler on their factory screens. I've had this screen for closer to a year now and it's working great!! I installed it myself and it was really simple, and took abt an hour...It like this screen much more than the factory screen primarily because this screen is a glass touch where as the factory screen was pressure censored.HOWEVER, why o rated this 4/5 stars is that occasionally(meaning very rarly)when I turn the car on, my screen will be completely black although the stero seems to be working because the radio will have sounds. A couple ways I've seen to fix this, and it can vary from time to time...is to turn the car off, open the door wait for the car to reset and turn the car back on. 2nd Is to do this but wait a couple minutes for the car to reset and turn the car on... 3rd and I've had this happen to me 3 times, where the radio works the but the screen only displays black, I try thr restart methods, but ultimately it starts working the next day and this ONLY happens when there is and extreme weather change from super hot, or to super cold....OVERALL, I do like this screen and will continue to use!! Very worth it to get rid of the dumb phantom/ghost touchesAnd if you need a tutorial to install it, just look on YouTube and save yourself the money 💰Update!!!!!!This picture is an update, is now no longer working!!! I cant even use my screen and it won't even shut off while the car is on and now I have to put a sheet over the screen to drive comfortably, this flashing screen that has lines on it has never happened, and I am very disappointed in this product now. This would be a major risk for those of epilepsy, or those who dont know they have it. It is a huge distraction while driving and very blinding. I am now re-rating this to 1 star

Just as my title states, you get what you pay for. This is a great option to save thousands of replacing the whole system at the dealership. If you watch a YouTube video and have the proper tools, it’s a quick swap out and you’re back up and running.My factory screen had bubbles that would change the station and call people on its own. The dealership said it’d be over 2k to fix. I found this and figured I’d give it a shot. Overall it’s great. The color is a little different from the original and the screen is shifted left. There’s no way to center the screen when it’s on, but I got used to it. For the price and usability as it works perfectly, I won’t complain.If you’re looking for a quick fix that’ll get you back to zero headaches while driving this is it.I installed this screen in my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited for reference.

This was a good replacement product and was easy to install with patience and instructions.

This is the perfect replacement for the 8.4 UConnect units with the dreaded delamination issue resulting in ghost touching and inoperable screens. I was originally going to attempt to clean the goo from my original unit but once I got it out of the truck I quickly decided that wasn't going to happen. I ordered this unit (lcd and digitizer combo) at a great price, it was delivered quickly and very well packaged, and it was super easy to install. As another review states, it doesn't come with the lcd display ribbon cable so you'll need to utilize the one from your original unit. Got everything put back together in my truck and it looks great! Hopeful that this unit performs well for years to come.

I received this 1 day earlier than expected and I installed it the next day. It was really simple to swap out the old delaminating screen. Just make sure you watch some of the videos out on YouTube. The only difference between this and the oem is it has a glossy screen that is very reflective but no problem for me it looks great. I had seen where people stated they had to restart their vehicle a few times before everything worked but I didn't have that problem. Once I started the truck it worked perfectly except I had to reset the clock so it was totally worth it. I am glad I went with this instead of just the digitizer screen even though it was much more expensive.UPDATE: Bought in Dec 2023 worked great for a while then Ai noticed it started changing the radio station to one station on its own. And now (Aug 2024) I am detailing the interior and I notice small cracks in the screen coming up from the lower right corner. Not happy with this! Gotta contact seller and see if they will work with me on replacing it since it is long past Amazon return date but less than 1 year.

The screen is working great the last few months, no complaints whatsoever. Pretty easy install, just find the YouTube videos that show you the process. Took less than an hour taking my time. Had to reset the screen as it wasn't functioning perfectly upon initial installation. At first looked like it was working, but then noticed the temperature numbers were not showing up. Did a reset twice, then all working perfectly. Press and hold both the volume and turner knob buttons simultaneously for about 20-30 seconds to reset. The display is a little glossier as some have noted, but we didn't find that a problem. We had full display edge to edge, nothing was off.

So far so good. It’s been working great with no issues. Way cheaper than the dealership.

Didn't last very long. Three drives and then a black line appeared fairly quickly down the middle of the screen.

We were told that since our navigation component was no longer working, that it could be corrected by replacing the screen only. That is not the case. Fyi. Now need the radio module as well
