I get by with a quarter of a tab per use, and use these not just for supplements but for whatever I want to maximally absorb. CBD, whatever. I assume it makes your meds get absorbed better, too - just factor that in. It increases the permeability of the small intestine - the main site of absorption. Ain't the stomach. The company is genius - they kept competitors out by keeping the price low.

I had some tumeric curcumin that did not contain black pepper. When I found out that this supplement helps absorbency of the tumeric, I didn't want to throw away my bottle of tumeric but by buying this supplement I'm able to use up what I have left until I can buy a product that contains both. I've noticed a significant difference between only taking the tumeric and taking it with this product. I get inflamed joints - in hands and knees mainly, and only on bad days (which is rare) do I need to possibly take any other otc meds. This product does not have much of any taste and I do not get any upset stomach or the like from it.

Actually, it's hard to evaluate how well a supplement works, because it takes weeks or months to notice a difference! That said, I've been taking BioPerine for a few months now, ever since I read several articles about how it enhances the bioavailability of any supplements you take... and I take a passel of them! I use many Source Naturals products as they have a good reputation for purity and consistency, i.e, it contains exactly what they say it does! So I trust this product.

Added this product to some turmeric I already had (inexpensive, 14.4 g. of turmeric in 2 caps, from Swanson). Gave up on it because I could tell no improvement from pain/inflammation, but did not toss it. Read about adding black pepper extract to turmeric & decided to give it a shot. Could tell a difference in 2 days of use. Used OTC pain reliever only one time in the last 5 days, & that was after lifting something heavy. Before I needed it once & often twice daily. The dosage I'm finding success with is 2 capsules of Swanson turmeric with 1 tablet of Source Naturals Bioperine two times each day, with breakfast & supper. (Instructions on bottle say "not to exceed 2 tablets a day".) My husband is finding pain relief from using it too. We are getting old, some would say already there, so we have aches & pains. I am very pleased that this product is helping our issues in a natural way :0)
