I needed to mount a light 32" on wall with an articulating mount (total weight about 25 lbs), but only had one stud on one side to grab on to. So I used two of these anchors on the other side through drywall. I have never used these before. Just wow. This TV is not going anywhere! I was a little skittish pulling out my 1/2" drill bit, but it worked like a charm. Install took all of 15 seconds, it was that easy. Way better than the traditional screw toggles. I am impressed. Not sure I would mount something really heavy with these anchors, as drywall is obviously pretty weak. But for my application my TV install went perfectly. Highly recommend as long you know the limits. That means it's pulled even. A light tug on the anchor away from the wall should also tell you. You should be able to tell based on the resistance on if you're over-tightening. **Q: How long are the bolts that come with these? Can longer ones be used instead?** A: The bolts provided are more than long enough for most apps, about 2in. Longer ones could be used if size and threads are matched. **Q: Are washers necessary for these toggle bolts for mounting or should I use 1/4" washers?** A: I did not use washers. **Q: Will these rust? I am thinking of possibly using them to mount pad eyes on my kayak (for a new seat).** A: They are mostly plastic but the bolt and cross bar are metal.
