I bought this on whim not entirely sure if it was going to work, but it worked like a charm! I love smoking and grilling on my 22” weber grill but I wanted to maximize the space I have and this did just that. Went to only able to smoke 2 ribs to 4 racks of ribs ( not a fan of the ones that stand them up on their side) so this worked perfectly for my needs - the rack is sturdy and there’s just a lil bit of assembly required once you get it but seriously I’ve very happy with this purchase. 👍🏼

This expander grill sat perfectly in my Kamado Joe Classic Joe (18") grill. And my chicken came out just fine! The only minor gripe I had was that the grill would slide off when I was cleaning it with a wire brush. One needs to use the free hand to hold it in place. If I were to design this, I'd consider putting the cross bars 90° from what they are presently (i.e. turn them clock-wise). This perhaps when scraping with a wire brush, we can do it single-handedly without fear of it sliding off the main grill.

I have nothing but good things to say about this. I love how it makes the Weber so much more usable. If you are seating steaks or grilling burgers, just remove it, but if you are cooking stuff low and slow or smoking meat, this is a must have.

Great fit and very useful to double my Kamado Joe II smoking capability. Basically doubles my ability to smoke or indirect cook or roast. Fits great on the grate below. Enough to have two medium/large briskets on the grill at a time. Could be about 1/4-1/2" taller, but I was able to make it work. The price was a bit higher than I wanted to pay, but the use I am getting makes up for the pricing.

Purchased in 2019 for a Kamado Joe and couldn't be happier. It has performed very well over that span of time. Until recently I was simply cleaning the rack by hand after using the smoker, but the last time it needed to be cleaned I was limited on time. I put the rack in the dishwasher and it came out looking brand new, with zero rust. There are varying qualities of stainless steel, and this rack seems to be made of high quality steel.

I purchased two racks. One for each of the Weber 22” kettle grills. I needed to add grill space to bbq 8 rack of ribs on 2 grills. Using indirect heat, both top & bottom racks resulted in consistent heating. One small drawback to multiple layer cooking of ribs: fat drips onto the lower meat and can affect the appearance of the meat on the lower level. The space between the lower and expansion racks is just enough for st.Luis style ribs. Baby back ribs might present a challenge as this cut tends to be a bit thicker and the bones have a larger arc to them. I have used them multiple times. No issues with the set-up as other reviews indicated. Screws all fasten easily. I tighten with my Milwaukee impact friver. And this seems to have been enough to avoid loosening of the screws. I did clean the grates once in the dishwasher. They cleaned up file. But I did take a plastic scrub brush to them first,

It is well made with solid stainless rod. Perfect height to fit a vegetable tray under your roast or a drip pan

The real problem with this expander is that it is secured by two screws on each leg, which (no matter how hard you secure) don't keep the legs in place. It makes the grill expander shift and move. It's not wobbly, but if you have a heavy piece of meat on it, like a Boston Butt, Brisket, Leg of Lamb, Tomahawk steak, it can collapse if the legs shift enough, which has almost happened to me on several occasions. The product is still usable, but it is not something you want to be thinking about during the middle of a long cook (and when you are smoking a Brisket, the cook can last 14 hours).
