अगर आप 'Asian Paints' का बड़ा नाम देखकर यह सोचकर खरीद रहे हैं कि यह एक भारतीय और भरोसेमंद प्रोडक्ट है, तो रुक जाइए! यह पूरी तरह से एक चीनी प्रोडक्ट (Made in China - Manufactured by Zhejiang Burley Tools) है, जिसे एशियन पेंट्स सिर्फ अपना ठप्पा लगाकर भारत में बेच रहा है। ​परफॉर्मेंस में बड़ी कमी: इस स्प्रे गन का प्रेशर और पेंट का फ्लो बिल्कुल भी स्थिर (stable) नहीं रहता। पेंट कभी बहुत कम निकलता है तो कभी अचानक बहुत ज्यादा फेंकने लगता है, जिससे दीवार या फर्नीचर की फिनिशिंग पूरी तरह खराब हो जाती है। फ्लो कंट्रोल का नॉप बस नाम के लिए दिया गया है। ​आफ्टर-सेल्स सर्विस और स्पेयर पार्ट्स का धोखा: इस प्रोडक्ट की सबसे बड़ी कमजोरी इसके स्पेयर पार्ट्स की अनुपलब्धता है। काम करते समय अगर इसकी प्लास्टिक बोतल खराब हो जाए या इसका छोटा सा सिलिकॉन वाशर (O-Ring) कट जाए, तो आपकी पूरी मशीन कबाड़ हो जाएगी। मैंने लखनऊ में इनके आधिकारिक केंद्र 'Asian Paints Academy' में भी बात की, लेकिन खुद एशियन पेंट्स वाले भी इसके स्पेयर पार्ट्स ऑफलाइन उपलब्ध कराने में पूरी तरह असमर्थ हैं। ​कंपनी प्रोडक्ट तो बेच देती है, लेकिन ₹20 के वाशर या बोतल के लिए ग्राहक को लावारिस छोड़ देती है। ग्राहकों के साथ यह सीधे तौर पर धोखा है। मेरी सलाह है कि इस मशीन पर अपने पैसे बिल्कुल बर्बाद न करें। इससे बेहतर होगा कि आप मार्केट से कोई ऐसा लोकल या जेनेरिक ब्रांड ले लें, जिसके पार्ट्स कम से कम लोकल मार्केट में आसानी से मिल जाते हैं!"
