Wow! When I ordered my 2 palettes (one for full color and another for black and white), I expected to use these just for travel because of the size: I thought they were small, but now I see that because of the highly efficient qualities of holding water and keeping the paint hydrated, I don't need a larger size! These are perfect! The 7" x 9" interior is ample enough for me to paint even large canvases because the paint does not get dry!!!! As expensive as good quality paint is, keeping all of it viable is critical, And this palette absolutely does the job! I am in love with these and will absolutely be buying a couple more just to separate different color schemes. The palettes are very easy to use. Just open one up, place the absorbent mat inside, and lightly pour water onto the mat until it is saturated. I was surprised by how much water the mat holds!! Then, place a piece of the palette paper onto the mat and squeeze your paint onto the paper. The bottoms of the paint will NOT dry out, and after you close the easy-to-snap closure (yes, they are very easy to open and close ), the humidity inside the palette keeps the paint viable for a looooong time. I have had mine for over a week now, and none of the paint has dried out at all! For my acrylic paint pieces, these palettes have already become irreplaceable. I actually have some huge Masterworks covered palettes, but I will just use those for my oils from now on. These particular palettes are just perfect for my work.

The product is extremely easy to clean, the foam mat inside is awesome, but try not to let it sit and dry, it works well with all game paint, from vallejo, Army Painter and Citadel. Actually makes good glazes, however one draw back between this an a professional one is the fact it does leak and you cannot use glazes for too long, you have to be quick about it, because the water from the paper will make too watery then gets absorbed by the foam mat. I like the clear plastic cover, but it’s cheaply made. I like the fact it’s translucent so you can see the paint under it if you plan on walking away for a bit. I have to say this, comes with really good paper for wet painting. It doesn’t fall apart, it’s not too tough where it doesn’t get water and it glides well with the brush. For 10 USD you can’t makes or own or buy your own that actually matches what it can do. It’s fantastic for the price.

These work really great for keeping acrylic paints useable for several days. I can mix colors and save them to use over and over rather than them drying up on me within an hour! I wish I had found these years ago!

My wife is a big fan of the wet palette. This is the second one she owns. The design includes a case, a dense foam materials and special paper. In use you put the sponge on the bottom of the case, pour in some water and then lay the paper on top. The Palette is easy to use, and the damp sponge keeps the paper moist for a number of days. It works exactly how we expected. The palette is a little smaller than the one we have in our other home. We like the sponge and paper and the size although smaller is big enough for our small Rock painting projects. If we had to point out one negative, we wish the cover was removable. This would probably mean closure clips on all 4 sides. But this would allow you to use the palette without the floppy cover bent over and sort of in the way. Minor thing but it is a nuisance. Other than this negative, the palette works great. Its lightweight, closes easily and seals in the moisture. It's nice to work with and we're happy with what we received. Recommended

This tray is amazing to keep your acrylic paint usable for some time. I left acrylic paint on the palette for 36 hours and it was as fresh as if I squeezed it a minute ago.

You know it does keep my paint from drying out.

3 days into using it daily. The box is well made and locks shut. Paints were fresh the next day, the sponge is SUPER absorbent! The white sponge does stain with blue paint. I couldn't clean it white again. Don't let your pain run outside the refill paper! The paper curls unless the sponge is very very wet. Paper that comes with it is much better than trying to use wax or parchment paper. It does slightly bunch when mixing with pallet knife for a long period of time, but is generally good. I wish I had purchased a pallet twice this size, especially for trying to mix out a whole color pallet from primaries. For small amounts of paint, it does the trick.

I’ve used this once and it is fine for me, I do not need it to mix colours more so to keep my acrylic paint wet whilst working or for when walking away. If you need it for mixing for a larger price perhaps get a larger palette yet otherwise it’s just fine.

Muy buen tamaño la esponja tiene un aroma un poco incómodo a fomi, comparado con otras paletas disponibles es un gran cambio de tamaño para bien, en mi caso me llegó incompleta solo con 1 esponja, sin embargo por el tamaño precio mas 100 hojas es la mejor opcion

I have a much larger 'artists' palette' but it's so big that it's too cumbersome to use decently. Takes up too much room on the desk, the sponge is iffy and the thing gets dirty and moldy quickly. THIS unit does none of those things. The sponge is high quality as are the membrane sheets. It seals well and keeps paint very fresh and is a much better size not taking up so much space on the desk. Highly recommended.

Note the sponge and paper are slightly smaller than the container so there is a gap compared to other brands I’ve seen.

I bought this because I wanted to be able to pick up where I left off painting art and not have to waste paints everytime. I often only paint for an hour or two and take multiple sessions per project so this palette is perfect for keeping my paints workable over several weeks at least. It's a great size too. I also like that it comes with a lot of disposable sheets to put the paint on.
