Strong rubber/chemical smell upon arrival. That’s common for faux leather products. Flip inside out, place in front of open window (or outside) in full sun. Should be good by sundown. If not repeat next day. Spray with fabric refresher before flipping right side in and inserting pillow.Great texture, no cheap shine, skin doesn’t stick to material, easy to wipe clean.

Don’t get me wrong, I know that faux leather products usually have a smell, but this is beyond the pale. From within the plastic zipper bag, within the plastic Amazon mailer bag, outside my front door, I immediately knew I was in for a shock when I could already detect a strong fish-like odor. Upon opening the package, the tench intensified. From the few seconds of touching the pillows with my bare hands, I still have the smell on my fingers. I immediately put on rubber gloves and wiped down the outside of each pillow with rubbing alcohol and then unzipped and sprayed the inside of each with Febreze. I waited a few minutes for drying and then repeated again. That still only took care of half the stench and now they smell like fish and air freshener. Total garbage product.

Product is good quality but the inside lining smells like rotting fish. I am really hoping it goes away once washed but boy it made my stomach turn. Makes me wondering where the smell came from.
