Geek & Gorgeous 101 C-Glow - 15% Vitamin C Serum, super-light + Ferulic acid & vitamin E, gives environmental protection, boost collagen & evens skin tone - all skin types, 30ml

As I had used vitamin c serums in the past that broke me out, I was a little bit hesitant to buy this vitamin c as I didn't want to waste £12 on a product I wouldn't use. Fortunately, my skin has been loving this serum so far. I've not noticed any irritation but my skin feels a little warm after applying it. It's a very watery serum that absorbs quickly, leaving my skin glowing. 15% vitamin c with vitamin e & ferulic acid is the gold standard, so for £12 this serum is incredible. I would much rather pay £12 than an eye-watering £165. It smells a little bit like 'hotdog water' like vitamin c serums I've used in the past but much less than the other ones. I decanted 10ml into a small dropper bottle I keep in the bathroom (Geek&Gorgeous recommends this) and the rest is kept in the fridge to slow down the degradation of the vitamin c so it will last longer (the serum is clear so you know it's fresh and will last a while before needing to worry). I've not been using it for long so I can't comment on the long-term benefits but I expect to see a reduction in PIH, softer and bouncier skin and protection against environmental stressors that could worsen acne. Very good quality pure vitamin C, not too strong but it does sting a bit. It arrived completely clear and in date, I kept it in the fridge and it stayed completely fresh until I used it up. The price is also very reasonable, so it is great for a pure fresh vitamin C that is not too irritating. I didn't use it long enough to notice any brightening effects as such, but compared to other vitamin C serums I have used, this was less irritating and easy to incorporate into my routine.

This is a great dupe of the v expensive medical grade one you can get for £170, same ingredients and same effectiveness. Be careful buying this from Amazon though, took a star off as the bottle I ordered only had a month left on the expiry… it has a very short shelf life in the first place, so maybe better to order directly from their website to be honest to get the freshest products as this particular vitamin C is not the most stable, but it does a good job of evening skin tone out and is good skin protection as well.

Best value for money Vitamin C serum. I’ve repurchased this serum many times before from Amazon and it comes fresh and clear every time. It’s a serum which I’ve found to give brightening and effective results almost immediately and layers well with my other skincare. I have dry skin but I find this product soaks into my skin quickly as it’s very watery and doesn’t irritate my skin. One thing to note is that because Geek & Gorgeous tends to make their products in batches, the serum doesn’t last long. However, if you keep your vitamin c serum in your fridge and take out a small amount each time, then it’s no issue. I’ve got a smaller 5ml bottle which I pipette the serum into and keep refilling as I need from the original bottle. This helps keep the product lasting for awhile. A small price to pay for such a good value product.

Literally arrived 100% white and clear which means minimal oxidation and smells very fresh (not like hotdog water from other brands). The difference is night and day with a brand that costs 5X more. This is an extremely potent vitamin C while being very gentle on the skin. My skin brightened in a gradual and noticeable manner. I literally did not see any brightening with two previous brands I used (one was Sodium Ascorbate-based and other was L-asborbic acid). If you are planning on using this, make sure to get B-Bomb as well, it helps your skin adjust to the C serum and also has separate benefits. There is no doubt this benefits the skin in terms of brightness. It has a consistency like water. Very mild 'hot dog water' smell as per all unscented Vitamin Cs, but not a strong as some and very tolerable. The reason for my 3 stars is it makes my skin feel sticky despite going on smoothly.

This product is amazing. It’s a dupe for skinceuticals and honestly, having used both, I can see it. Only thing I would advise is to purchase direct as it oxidised rather quickly and it was always kept in Fridge. I use this directly after cleansing, press into skin and leave for 10 minutes to absorb followed with hyaluronic acid. Non greasy. No reaction aside from a slight tingle which I like.

Hi, I tried this product only once, and my skin started itching and burning. Please don’t use this product if you have acne or sensitive skin. I’m trying to return it, but it’s not eligible under the return policy. I feel stuck now since I spent £24 on this product after reading all the positive comments.
