I have been looking for some underwear that are truly high-waisted. Prior to purchasing from this manufacturer I purchased and like very much the bamboo/spandex underwear. Although they advertise as high-waisted they really are not as high-waisted as what I need. They are more like Hip Huggers in my opinion. These high-waisted underwear by wirapa are truly high-waisted. I have an ostomy and the aforementioned bamboo underwear rest right across the top of my ostomy bag where the vent is. This often means that the waistband rubs against the vent cap and can cause it to open. These new I wasted underwear sit a good inch and a half to 2 in above my ostomy bag which is exactly what I was looking for. As of right now they seem to have a good amount of spandex which helps hold my bag in place and give support. So far, I am very happy with them. The only thing that time will tell is whether they ride up when I am wearing things like jeans that are a little tighter fitting. That is the one thing with underwear made out of bamboo is that the finished product is not grabby if that makes sense. It's smooth and slides when wearing tighter jeans as opposed to grabbing and riding up or down. Hope that makes sense! Everything else about these is awesome and they're actually cute on and I like the style a lot. For reference I am approximately 5'7 ft tall and weigh approximately 138 lb. I typically wear a size medium or a size 8 pants. Because several other reviewers said that these ran small, I did order and try on sizes medium, large and extra large. I did not find the medium to run small or large but fit just like a medium should on me. I washed them in warm water and dried them in the dryer fully and there was minimal shrinkage. I actually only washed one pair so that I could compare it to an unwashed pair and truly in all honesty I could not see any shrinkage which is impressive for a garment made out of mainly cotton.

I’m 206lbs at 5’7. I’m pretty sure I bought these in a 3xl. The sizing recommendations was a 2xl. I’m normally a L. I wanted some extra room for swelling post surgery. These were perfect. I do wish the band at the top was slightly wider and looser but for the most part it was high enough most of the time to not cause any irritation to incisions. When it did though it would sit in the worst place but it’s probably just my own sensitivity and placement of incisions they did. I probably could have went up another size.

Love these. I can wear the 2X for a more fitted feel but they tend to rub the creases. But when I sized Up and got the 3x they are def larger but still fit without huge baggy areas, but the main thing is they don’t dig in the creases of my legs. They are much softer once you wash them one time, so don’t fret if they feel stiffer than you expect when you open them. Good quality! Just wish they were a tad more affordable.

Okay, I'm not a big ole' granny panty kind of gal but I am a long-distance walker/hiker and I NEED something that comes up high on my body and is comfortable (doesn't ride up the rear). THIS is it. I'm 125 pounds, 5'4" and 20% bmi / athletic but without the big butt in back. These are thicker than normal underpants (thicker than Hanes/Fruit of the loom) but high quality and they don't shrink tons in the wash/dryer even on high for 60 minutes. They shrink a LITTLE (like a 1/4 of and inch), I bought mediums and wouldn't want to go any smaller. They come just above my belly button and I'm very long waisted. The band is covered and the colors are accurate. I wish they had this style in RED, but they don't. I'm really happy with these. NO the post partum ones are NOT the same they have a wickedly bad seam right around the hip area/so no thank you on that. I walk for hours and hours and no ride up at all. I only wear them in the winter because of the thickness. I'm glad I purchased these in so many different colors. I have a 28 inch waist and 37 inch hips. I hope this was helpful.

I wish I could give these undies 10 stars! They’re perfect for post-C-section mamas! Zero complaints! The waistband is great, height is fantastic. I bought them a bit big so they’d be cozy postpartum on my incision, but now that’s how I like them. They’re so perfect, and so comfortable in leggings! It actually comes to the top of the pants, vs an awkward few inches beneath. They look like granny panties, but I don’t care. These are great! Repeat customer for life!

I didn’t expect the crazy double seam around the waist and lower belly to dig so much. They are kinda comfortable after a couple wears/washes, but not as much as expected. VERY visible seams, which we women shouldn’t care about, I mean who cares if people can see we wear undies, but just an fyi, if you’re a tight pants girlie, these ain’t for you.

Comfortable and snug fit. Durable for wearing a pad. The waistband is wide and comfortable. Appearance is perfect. The price is perfect.
