A pair for myself(XL) and a pair for my wife(L).I'm using the xl's with my Keen size 11 men's hiking boots. They fit easily, with little effort or pulling to get on. The spikes are almost too deep/long, but do a great job of providing stability on icey surfaces or snow. *I'm not sure how durable the spikes would be on hard surfaces like asphalt or concrete, as they may be susceptible to bending (?).
