Really like this tracker, but…….see latest update.
I’ve previously had a Charge 4 and then a 5. Like them both, but all good things come to an end. Typical life span a little over 2 years. I’m ok with that. What I really like about this tracker is the smaller size. When my Charge 5 died (tried to wash it off under the faucet), I looked into the Charge 6. Reviews were not reassuring. So this one had more positive reviews and thought I’d give it shot. So far it’s been great. Easy to use, display responds well to touch, screen is legible, and it supports just what I need. Plus, it’s less $$ than the new Charge. At this point very happy with my purchase. Recommended. Will follow up with updates as needed. Update 5-10-24. So within three days battery dropped to 19%. A disappointment given the description states up to 10 days. So I made a few changes in the watch configuration and fully recharged. After36hours battery is at 66%. A week would be acceptable but anything less a disappointment. Update 5-13-24. Turned off always on display. Battery at 44% after 6 days, not bad. Happy I bought this tracker over the Charge 6. Update 6-1-24 Ok, I really like this tracker. Soooo glad I bought it over the Charge 6. It has yet to disappoint me and Im getting at least 8-9 days from a charge. Best part is I like the small profile and simplicity of the display. I see the large display watches and trackers and wonder why anyone would want such a clunky device on their wrist. Now if you wants apps, fancy displays, emergency calling, and all parameters on one screen, this tracker is not for you. So glad I made this purchase. 1-25-25. So the original Fitbit functionality was great throughout the past 9 months until the hinge point of the strap failed. The plastic where the pin secures the strap to the watch fractured. What to do? I tried some epoxy, worked for a few weeks. So I just ordered a new watch. Unfortunately, the watch gave me less than one year of service. Had it not been for its otherwise excellent performance I would have considered abandoning Fitbit. But I went and ordered a new one. Seems the watch is a disposable item with a life expectancy of less than a year. Too bad, seems few things in life have consistent longevity. I’ll have to see how long this one keeps me happy. I’m not going to deduct a star at this point. We’ll just have to see how this goes. 4-11-25 I really like this device. it has performed well. I've been reading a few negative reviews. Seems people expect too much from a small rather inexpensive fitness watch. This device is great as a tracker but is not without fault. Keep that in mind and you won't be disappointed. I think others feel they should get the equivalent of an expensive electrocardiogram or sleep results that you can only get from visiting a sleep center. Ain't gonna happen. Just use the device as it is intended, as a tracker. Overall, once the tracker has accumulated enough data on your habits, it will serve as a reliable reflection of your exercise and health. I think it is worth it and would buy another. 7-10-25 A few more months of use. No complaints. Good tracker. I sync it up with my iPhone and iPad. Sometimes it goes ok other times I need to pair it again. But not a major issue as it does catch up with the latest data. I rely on this compact tracker quite a bit for my steps, distance walked, exercise time, and general sleep quality. it also seems stop on with my resting heart rate. I still like it very much and would buy again. Another update 11-24-25. Watch very reliable thus far. No issues. Again the small profile of this watch is a real plus for me not to mention 8-9 day battery power. Use it mostly to track steps. I have a goal of 11000 steps / day and I’m on track with one month to go for a full year. Will buy another when this fails but I’m hoping to get more than one year out of this one.

Fitbit watch is a perfect fit!
Perfect fitness watch for the ladies! I love this Fitbit, it’s the perfect size for my smaller wrist and doesn’t over power any outfit. I love the colorful bands that are available, I’ve ordered several sets and they all work perfectly. My sister just ordered hers after many years of wearing an Apple Watch. She knew it was way too big for her but she didn’t realize this Fitbit can do most (if not all) of the same things at a much lower price point and definitely looks a lot better! Just get it, you’re welcome!

Love at first use.
This is replacing a Fitbit Charge 4 that had the screen go out (half the screen went dim one day, then a week later the whole thing went dark. The watch still counted steps and transferred data, just no screen). I hated my charge 4 and it took me over a year to come around to using it. This watch is so different. I love the heck out of this thing. Right from the get go it worked perfectly, linked with the app, updated with no trouble, and transferred date seamlessly. The screen is bright and colorful, and it has a lot of free watch faces. It is slim and sleek and super easy to read (even with my 60 year old eyes). Messages come thru and clear (another issue I always had with the Charge 4 was it would not clear messages to the point I had to turn off that feature). I also love that I can have my step count appear right on the main screen as well as my heart rate. About the only thing I'm not thrilled with is the stupid little pins they use to attach the bands to the watch battery.

Fails to Count Steps When Holding Treadmill Rails
I bought this Fitbit for one specific reason: I wanted to track my steps while walking on a treadmill without having to carry my iPhone. When I walk outside, my phone is usually with me, but on the treadmill I prefer not to keep it in my pocket. Unfortunately, I discovered that this Fitbit does not reliably count steps when I’m holding the treadmill handles, which I often do. Since my arm isn’t moving naturally, many of my steps simply aren’t recorded. As a result, the main reason I purchased this device ended up not working for me. I’ve basically accepted that on treadmill days, my Health app may show very few steps even though I actually walked quite a bit. It also counts hand movements as steps. If I’m gesturing or moving my hands while not walking, it may add steps.

Worn on ankle review
The screen turns on if the chassis is squeezed, and the screen will sometimes turn on in the middle of the night. If you toss and turn, you will inadvertently put pressure on the chassis an activate the screen which is quite bright in a dark room. There is no way to disable this, but after putting it on my ankle, this issue goes away. Sleep tracking works on the ankle (if you are NOT using clip-on body mode). I worry that this Fitbit wasn't tuned for the ankle. That is, I move my ankles less than my wrists when lying in bed. This tracker does not work well when using with a treadmill desk. In order to get an accurate step count, you need to wear on your ankle but tell the app you are wearing it in "clip-on body" mode. This mode unfortunately disables heart tracking. I would love to see a "worn on ankle" mode that addresses these issues. This Fitbit does not track any treadmill steps if my pace is on my treadmill's lowest setting. I hope they adjust the min speed threshold because I walk for hours per day on this setting as I work. The screen is small which is great, but why can't we have all those on-screen controls available in the app too? If I want to toggle clip-on body mode, and it's a tedious to swipe and click on that tiny screen--especially if worn on ankle. My phone, on the other hand, has a large screen. Automatic sleep detection is wildly inaccurate in terms of when sleep begins. This could be a result of wearing it on my ankle. One night it said I went to sleep at 7:20pm and was restless until 11:20pm. In reality, I went to sleep at 11:20pm. There's a way to manually edit the start time which I did, but then later my manual edit was overwritten, and I had to do it a second time. This bug happens routinely. There is an option to tell the device explicitly when you start sleeping and stop in real-time, but if I use this feature, it shows an error code 0x and most of my sleep stats are missing. In general, the software has lots of little bugs like this: the premium feature called "Meet your sleep animal" ignores my manual edits of my sleep start and end times. I know this because it says on average it takes me one hour to fall asleep which way off from my manual edits. Heart rate tracking seems to work perfectly when worn on the ankle. A strategy for treadmill desks users could be to use Fitbit for heart rate tracking and sleep tracking only, and then use your iPhone for step tracking as iPhone is more accurate and convenient. You would just need to place the iPhone in a pocket near the knee (cargo shorts) so that steps are counted. There is no way to manually turn off the device. The only way to turn it off is to let the battery drain to zero. As far as I know, storing a device with zero charge for long periods of time will permanently damage a battery. What I liked about my Fitbit is that I have learned my Resting Heart Rate (RHR) and Heart Rate Variability (HRV). I learned I probably don't have sleep apnea or attrib fib. I'm not using my Fitbit anymore. In a year or so, I will dust it off and check these stats again. I hope my battery still works.

Love the new Update*
This watch comes with free 6 month premium subscription. The best part is the "AI Coach." It's highly intuitive, informative, and tailored to me and my goals. I get specific feedback with accuracy and nothing generic. I am blown away with the capability of this watch and the updated app features that make the data easy to track and understand. The value you get for this watch supersedes those in it's price range and beyond. I'm not impressed with Hume, which doesn't charge a subscription, but gives limited information that's not worthy if you don't know how to interpret the data. *** NO MORE COUNTING CALORIES, WEIGHING FOOD OR GUESSING MACROS**** some "free" apps charge extra for the feature to scan your food and log it. Even then the accuracy is questionable. With this FIT BIT, I do not waste time logging into one app or the internet to find the closest food item out of small bank of options. Or you try to scan the barcode that's not registered in it's system- like my Factor meals. It was a hassle I didn't feel up to doing when it's time to eat. It was all a guessing game until my fitbit. I simply take a picture of my Factor meal or any meal and the AI coach gives me the full breakdown: calories, protein, carbs, fats and more if I request it. It even picks up on small items like cranberries in my salad or sauces that are difficult to log ingredients for. If there's a missing, making changes or adjustments is very simple. Now, I have a very sound way of logging and tracking my meals much faster. This Fit Bit in in synch with my Google Health and can incorporate data from my other brands of tools with a single screen shot. I've uploaded test results, labs, Hume Body scans, data from my Renphro scale and I don't have to guess on what it all means. The AI Coach breaks down data I've been working on for months into bite size servings that are comprehensive and easy to understand. It even makes appropriate suggestions based off my goals. This is the step counting watch with all the extra bells and whistles (minus heart rhythm detection) you'd want. It even keeps track of your menstrual cycle down to the day!

My favorite watch
I bought my Inspire 3 just over a year ago to replace a really old Fitbit. The old watch still worked but the screen was so dim you couldn’t see anything on it outside. I LOVE this watch. I bought the yellow band, it is still looks brand new. I tried a screen protector from eBay that was a plastic cover you put over the whole thing but the touch sensitivity was 0. I took it off. I try to be careful with banging my wrist on things like walls. I do hit the screen from time to time but there are no scratches or cracks. Once the screen froze so I followed the reset instructions I found online. It fixed the frozen screen and I haven’t had trouble again since. I swim with it and put it in water mode. I’ll go to the gym and it will alert me and ask if I am working out Hit yes or no and it will track. Fitbit recently changed to Google Health and the app is so hard to understand. Fitbit was a way better app. I do find I need to sync almost every morning if I want to get phone related texts and call alerts. Sleep mode helps keep the automatic wrist turn light up from lighting up and silences phone alerts. I love the multiple alarm settings and you can pick repeat if you need to. The vibration on low is enough to wake me if I choose to use it as a wake up alarm. Overall, as with all technology, sometimes there can be duds. I am glad mine is not a dud.

Great for tracking health - *UPDATED* JUNK!!!!
UPDATE #2 8/6/26 -- I hate to do this but I am once again dropping my rating down. This is now a 1 star product. On initial purchase, this thing seemed great. However, shortly after purchase the oxygen tracker stopped working as I mentioned in my original update on 7/17. Since then, the sleep monitor has gotten really wonky as well. For example, last night it claims that I slept for 3 minutes. I went to bed at 10:30pm and woke up at 5:30am but somehow it said I slept for 3 total minutes. It also gives me a "sleep score" of 40 over and over and over again. In the last 10 nights of sleep I probably got a 40 as my score on 8 of them. Is this thing broken? Or just junk? After doing some research I came to find out there use to be a Fitbit app and it worked pretty well. However, the within the last few months got rid of the fitbit app and now use the Google Health app to work with this watch and according to a lot of the reviews Ive been reading that seems to be when everything got goofy with this watch. People seem to feel they transitioned to the new Google Health app before they were ready and its led to a lot of glitches.... That would make sense since this watch completely stopping the oxygen tracking and giving me a 40 as my sleep score 95% of the time time regardless of how good or bad I sleep sure seems to be a glitch to me!! Like I said, last night it said I slept for 3 minutes even though I was in bed for 7 hours lol lol lol..... I don't know if the watch itself is junk or if the watch doesn't properly sync with the new app or what the story is, but at this point I have nothing at all good to say here. Half the functions literally don't even work anymore and because of that I don't even know if I should trust the functions that "supposedly" do work...... This went from seeming to be a nice watch right after purchase to being a complete piece of garbage in just a short period of time. UPDATED 7/17/26 -- This was originally a 5 star review (see my original review below). I am dropping it to 2 stars. Everything in my original review still stands, except for one problem that I consider a major problem. The SP O2 tracker on there (that's the oxygen level tracker) just randomly STOPPED WORKING a few days after owning the watch. I tried numerous troubleshooting options that were suggested, reinstalling the app, re-pairing the blue tooth, adjusting the watch face, wearing it tighter on my wrist, cleaning the under side sensors, making sure firmware is up to date, etc. etc. it still does not work. Everything else works fine, but the oxygen sensor gives me no reading at all. It worked for about 3-4 days, then just stopped and hasn't worked since. This is a VERY important feature to me since I struggled with Oyxgen levels at times in my life due to asthma - so not having this feature is a big let down. And in searching the internet for possible fixes I am finding out many others have the same issue and nobody has a fix for it..... So, yeah. It is now a 2 star product, ORIGINAL REVIEW -- To start my review, let me say that I had no desire and no want for a watch that received my text messages or phone calls. In my opinion, those seemed like stupid features because I always have my cell phone on me, so why would I need to get calls and texts on the watch. But if that is something that you are looking for, then you should probably disregard my 5 star review because from what I understand this watch does NOT have a mic for talking on phone calls with and I think it only notifies you when you get a text, but you can't respond to it. You may want to verify that info though because I did not buy it for those things and haven't played with those options at all. I specifically bought this watch to monitor health related things.... daily steps, calories burned, heart rate, oxygen level, sleep patterns, etc. and it really does a great job with all of that. It also allows you to set up daily routines and exercise schedules, though I have not played with those features yet since they aren't overly important to me. I've been using the watch for about 2 weeks now and it really does a nice job of monitoring all health related activity. While monitoring my sleep it tells me an overall score for my sleep, but then also breaks it down to show how much time I spent in an REM cycle, how much time was in deep sleep (to rest your muscles), how much time was in light sleep (to rest your mind), how many times you woke up, etc. Very useful info!!! Not only does it track this info daily, but it also stores it for you can few it in chart and graph format over the course of weeks and months to see where you are improving or where you need to get better. The battery life seems pretty decent. I got about 10 days from a full charge. The face of the watch is small. It's about the same width as the wrist band. I suppose some people might not like that since it can be hard to read, but I personally love the small face. The small face makes it very comfortable to wear and since all of the data can be viewed on your phone via the app that the watch communicates with, the small screen on the watch is fine. I do all the actual monitoring of my health data from my phone. All in all I guess it boils down to you what you looking for. Like I said, this watch doesn't offer much in regards to phone calls and texts and email. If that's what you are looking for, definitely look elsewhere. But if you just need something to monitor heart rate, steps, calories burned, oxygen level, sleep patterns, etc. this thing really does the trick. It's a lot cheaper than other brands out there and the small face makes it comfortable. And from the app you can pretty much do all your tweaking as far as setting up notifications, enabling and disabling certain features, etc. It's not the top watch out there by any means, but it's also alot cheaper than some of the watches out there. If you just need something comfortable to wear to keep track of health and vitals, I highly recommend this guy.
