All the shades are lovely. The red ones looked amazing on me. Very pale olive skin tone, super dark hair, black eyebrows, and brown eyes. I look best with a darker lip because otherwise the entire bottom half of my face just kinda disappears. So for me it's about balance. My lips do have a darker natural tone as well, kinda really dark mauve/purple-y shade so pale colors either disappear, look chalky, or change color. For instance, berry shades tend to go fuchsia and much brighter than I anticipated. Deep wine shades go berry. Bright reds go really pink, but muted, dark reds are perfect. They look natural, with just a little oomph. Hope this helps you at least rule out shades. Nothing worse than wasting money. And, fyi, Ulta sells these, and will take returns within a certain frame for any reason. Even if you just don't like it. So you can try a shade at a time.
