We had a regular tension rod for our curtain. The curtain is a linen like material with large buttons and we have a separate cloth liner so I think it was a little heavy. The tension rod kept sliding down. It was driving me nuts! My husband had the idea to get closet rod brackets but the size would.not work. I checked Amazon and was surprised to see they actually had something that was especially made for shower curtains. These are very nice because they will work with any sort of end that a rod might have. If I were to get a different curtain rod that might have a larger or smaller end cap it will still fit. Plus they can be attached with strong adhesive strips that come with the set OR you can attach them with screws into the wall. That is what we did. We wanted the holders to be there for a long time. My husband installed them in 5 minutes. I have a black tension rod so I chose the Black finish and they look like it’s all part of the curtain rod. They look very nice. We are very happy with them.
