I've had this straightener for over a month now and was going to use it for the very first time tonight. Now the day that it arrived, I did turn it on and touched the plates to see if it was warming up and it was indeed getting warm. I turned it back off and thought how much I liked the way that it fit in my hand. I have naturally curly hair and have just been going with that for the past while, but today I wanted to go with straight hair and was excited to use my new hair straightener for the first time. Well, it would not even turn on, would not light up, nothing! My hopeful self unplugged it and took it to another outlet and tried it there. Once again it would not turn on. I already threw the box in the trash a couple of weeks ago because I thought the thing worked. After all, it did turn on one time, the first day when it arrived. It has not been dropped and no one has touched it. It has laid on my vanity ever since it arrived. To say that this hair straightener is a dud would be an understatement. So, I lost my money and have a hair straightener that will not even turn on!
