Alpha - Test and Activity Booklet (2010), Math U See

My first grader is off to a great start with the Math U See Alpha curriculum. My older children are using Gamma and Delta, and we're very pleased with the series.Math concepts are explained well and children have plenty of opportunity to practice what they're learned and review concepts.The student text is great -- enough problems to help them master concepts without too many problems or boring busy-work.

I have no idea how to rate this since twice I received the addition/subtraction test booklet instead of Algebra 1. This is an amazon issue, not a seller issue since I made the purchases from two different buyers. Frustrating for us all. Both sellers immediately refunded me and told me to keep the books. Now I have 2 elementary level test books with no elementary children. Useless. Hopefully that has been cleared, but buyer beware when you purchase this from any other seller. Check with the seller to make sure you are in fact buying Algebra 1 instead of Alpha addition/subtraction.

This booklet was easy to follow and presented a variety of ways to solve a problem. I also enjoyed the problems that allowed my child to color and learn creatively.

Super Disappointed. I know there is some confusion because the description says Algebra. The picture shows "Student text" (which I was hoping for) and the title says "test & activity booklet" which I was hoping meant Student text but unfortunately IT DOES NOT. It is infact "extra fun activities" for Alpha curriculum. I wish they would fix this. It's super confusing.

We have used Math U See for many years for our 6 children. It is a very practical approach and helps the children understand the why and how of math concepts. This picture shows Algebra 1. The Alpha book is green and white. Just didn't want folks to be confused when looking it up. :)

Please be aware that this is the TEST BOOKLET AND NOT THE STUDENT WORKBOOK.

I thought this was the full workbook, but it is just the extra work. One page of work (front and back) per lesson.

If I could give less than one star, I would. I ordered the Alpha test and activity book and instead received the Algebra II book. Returned it right away. Such a bummer because I really need the Alpha and can’t seem to find it for a reasonable price.
