Compact and functional
Compact and surprisingly rugged. Smaller wells for paint but always adequate. Reclosing latches give solid seal and align only one way to avoid contamination of paints. Very pleased.

Excellant, transportable paint storage
Brilliant paint storage! I have one I use for gouache and another I purchased for acrylics. Paint lasts in them for quite a while (6 months and counting for the gouache. Note: I put a few drops of watercolour medium into the gouache). Very well sealed lid- however, transport flat- colours can run into each other. Quite sturdy and light to carry. Very recommended!!

I Can't Believe The Paint Is Still Wet!
I bought this palette box in May 2026 and as soon as I received it, I added like 10 acrylic paint colors to it. I painted a bit, lightly misted the palette with water using a spray bottle and closed it up. I really intended on returning to this painting, but you know, life happened and I didn't get back to it until today. When I spotted it, I immediately thought I would have to scrape it out and start over. Much to my surprise, the paint is still viable after 5 months! Even the wells that I used to mix color in very small amounts were still wet enough to use! I cannot believe this. This is the first actual "air-tight" container I have ever used that actually works. It's pretty convenient, the size is ok. I would have preferred the wells being a little larger for mixing, but I can mix small amounts on a flat palette just as well. It really seals up tight so there is virtually no wasted paint. This also would work quite well for plein air painting. I accidently set it down upside down for a few minutes and none of the paints bled into other wells...so short term, I would think even if you tipped it, the paint will stay where you put it. I also work with only water-based paints so I can't speak to how oil paints would keep. I don't doubt that it would work out just fine. But you can't go wrong with this one. I highly recommend this palette.

Good for keeping paint wet, not good for mixing in.
Works well for what it is. Keeps the paints moist, but I wouldn't recommend mixing paint in it, especially with the tool provided. The pots are deep but not very wide, so it's different to mix in, but if you do I'd recommend using a popsicle stick. Overall though, pretty good, would recommend.

Very nice.
I'm very pleased over all with is case. Keep in mind it won't stand up to travel with traditional watercolors (keep it stationary in that case). Works extra well with goauche, acrylic and oil as a travel pallet. I even dry my goauche down into the wells to make travel pallets.

A PERFECT portable palette for plein air painters!
This is a great product! I own several. One for watercolor, one for gouache, and others for when I want to change color palettes. I am a plein air painter and there couldn't be a better-designed palette. It seals very nice, is quite compact, and as it is transparent, you can see the pigments at a glance. I have a Brother P-Touch label machine that I use to print the individual colors on clear labels - in very small print - in case I am unsure of the pigment. I have traveled overseas with this palette with no problems. Just remember to keep it out of the heat and fairly horizontal so pigments will not move around on you. It also seems to fit on the tray of my Plein Air Pro easel a lot better as well. If you really want to go portable, there is a thumb holder on the bottom. [NOTE:] If you like your pigments in a special order and you are left-handed, be sure you orient the palette on your right hand to determine the top and bottom. Though it looks like the top lid can simply be turned around, it can't. This palette is definitely the way to go!

Colors bleed into one another
Positives: This saves me so much space on my craft table! It’s deeply convenient to have all of the colors I need in one spot, and I feel like I’m saving paint from drying out on the palette. Love that. Negatives: if you’re using a thick acrylic or oil paint I think it’d be great, however anything thinner in consistency will bleed into the other colors (as seen in my pic, after traveling only 15 minutes to another location). Docked 2 stars because travel-friendliness was a huge factor in purchasing this case.

A surprising little jewel of a paint box...
This is a small, very well designed Watercolor/Gouache paint box (could be used for any paint really I think). The fit and finish is superb and is a perfect in-the-field paint box for anyone considering painting outside. It is well priced and well suited for my needs. The only drawback I see is the lack of clear instructions on usage options. I have played with the box and cannot for the life of me figure out what the little black removable appendage is for other than as a possible strut to lift the palette so it is one a slant for better access. Also, the lid has several options for using as the mixing area. Silicone on the one side which acts as the seal when closed and smooth plastic on the other with a texture perimeter to help keep water/paint from flowing off. The clasps also serve as a means of elevating the "palette" off the work area surface in either a horizontal position or on an incline if that is your preference. You can even leave the lid attached on the edge opposite the "black stilt" for inclining the palette well section and then have a linked pallet well and flat mixing area as long as you fold over the remaining tabs on the lid under the top to stabilize it. Overall impressive bit if engineering and very functional for small-scale in-the-field paint adventures. And of course you can use it as pictured with your thumb holding the palette. Kudos!

Its great
This product as worked great for me for school. But the only thing is that the paint leaks a little bit into the other sections.

Keeps my gouache fresh
I bought this to store my gouache paint in. I am afraid of mold forming on the paint, so I keep it in the refrigerator between uses. It is just perfect for this and keeps my paint fresh. I only have to spritz the paint with distilled water occasionally.

The best
Me and this pallet have gone thru a lot in the past couple years. The clips are starting to break off but I still love it. I use mine to keep my gouache thin, you can see the bleed up on the lid u can’t really just tip it around all over the place it’s gotta stay flat in your bag. But what do you expect can’t deny physics I wish you sold extra clips that would be tight! Cause I might have to get a new one soon

Love how airtight these are for my gouache
Love how airtight these are for my gouache. Still wet after over a month! Only downside is that the cover is annoying to put on, because you have to be pretty exact, also no place to mix really, but it seals the paint so it doesn’t dry out.
