So while some people seem to think this is expensive, I'm happy with what I paid. (Think about what the Epicurean boards themselves cost.) I have an original brown double-sided board that I've had for years--I'm sure more than 10 years. I never put it in the dishwasher. It has a lot of wear, but this butter makes it look almost new. It will not restore the edges where my husband damaged it with a bread knife, but it does make even those cuts less obvious. I've also used this product on a small black board and it works great on it. And I've used it on a bamboo stove cover board successfully.
