Restores Your Epicurean Board to Like Almost New
I bought this several years ago and still have more than half the can remaining because you use very little. So while some people seem to think this is expensive, I'm happy with what I paid. (Think about what the Epicurean boards themselves cost.) I have an original brown double-sided board that I've had for years--I'm sure more than 10 years. I never put it in the dishwasher. It has a lot of wear, but this butter makes it look almost new. It will not restore the edges where my husband damaged it with a bread knife, but it does make even those cuts less obvious. I've also used this product on a small black board and it works great on it. And I've used it on a bamboo stove cover board successfully. Very happy with this purchase and would buy again when I run out.

Impressive!
I had no idea something like this existed! I've had my black epicurean board for at least a year now and as you can see it definitely takes a beating. This 'butter' was so easy to use and it spiffed up my board in no time!! Of course there are still some deeper scratches and scuffs you can see but the aesthetic is so much more pleasing now. My only tiny concern is bacteria getting on the butter from wiping the board with the sponge...yes you are supposed to clean and dry your board first but if cleaning isn't perfect there could still be some bacteria residue. I wiped off the sponge and top layer of butter with a paper towel before storing, just in case. Better than nothing I guess.

Buy this for your cutting boards
Iโm so glad we purchased this! Itโs a convenient & easy way to care for the cutting boards. It really does make the boards like new. It doesnโt feel as messy as other oils or balms.

Works great
Works great and really easy to use. I've used it on my cutting broad, wooden utensils, even the handle for my vintage Dansk pot.

Refreshes the look of old Epicurean boards
I'm SO glad to stumbled upon this product on a kitchen supply store (I bought it off Amazon for the same price)! It has given our three Epicurean cutting boards a fresh almost-new look, and I like knowing our boards are not dried out. It comes with an applicator sponge, and a little bit does go a long way, but since our boards were pretty beaten up, I applied a couple of coats before letting it sit overnight to set, then washing it and allowing it to dry before using. The price isn't the lowest, and I'm certain you might be able to use some other product like mineral oil to keep your boards looking snappy, but I do really like having the sponge to really rub in each coat. We have friends who put their boards in the dishwasher (we hand wash ours), so the really test will be how fresh we can me *those* boards look, once I get a hold of them... I'll be sure to update (with pix, I hope!) when I do!

Great sealant and easy application!
Ease of use! Gives a great protective coat to all wood cutting boards without the mess and long drying time of mineral oil. Prefer EPI-butter!

This stuff is great. Really cleans up my board (also from Epicurean) and has a very mild, but pleasant smell. Goes on easy with the sponge that's included, and doesn't leave any residue. A must have if you live in a dry climate especially. Well worth the price to keep your cutting board looking good.

I was looking to purchase a new cutting board because mine was many years old and was beginning to look its age - faded and with lots of cutting marks. But I couldn't find a board that I liked enough to buy. So I decided to give the board butter a try and I completely recommend it! My board is no longer lack lustre and the cutting marks are hardly visible. The board butter costs about the same price as a new board, but as a little goes a long way, you get a much better deal buying the butter
