This thing is really really lo-fi, and if that’s what you’re looking for, then it’s a steal. If it will last. The recording function through the onboard mic and then coming through the little speaker was the sound I was looking for. Definitely not as sturdy as the ones I used to have “back in the day”, but the on the fly recording capabilities of these things is always fun. The first one they sent me was defective, but they remedied that and sent another one right away.

15 year old daughter is all about the nostalgic audio equipment. She came in possession of a lot of free cassette tapes but had no way to play them. Enter this baby. Was worth every penny to watch her try to figure out how to use it. Had no clue how to insert and flip the cassette, hit play, rewind and fast forward Seems like a lot of work she said. .. lol

It’s a really good product for the price. The audio quality of the radio and of the cassette playback was levels above what I thought it would be for the price. My only issue is that it can’t record any audio my my cassettes. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not using a specific type of tape but it just doesn’t work with my Sony HF-90s. But on the bright side the playback is amazing for the price. TLDR: audio quality is amazing but the recorder seemingly doesn’t work.

So far, so good. Christmas gift for my 14 year old daughter. She specifically asked for a portable cassette player! She appears to be loving it. She dropped it into the wet gutter only hours after getting it but it cleaned up and dried off enough that it's still working perfectly.

First, this thing is defective by poor design the first problem I encountered was the battery compartment. The metal tabs that have the spring mounted on, just bends backwards and it will not hold the battery in place, I had to take it apart and rig something to stop the flimsy battery tabs from bending. With that semi fixed at least it would stay on . The radio actually sounds pretty good but the tape player sounds terrible (tinny and weak) the speed is really bad but after playing a few minutes it improves slightly not to mention the buzzing that you hear. The built in speaker sounds awful. Also it plays tapes in mono. I didn’t try to record on it, maybe later If you are new to cassettes This player just barely works and believe me your cassettes sound much better than what you will get with this player. I thought I would use this when I go walking, I really don’t want to take a chance on dropping my Sony which sounds amazing! Update! I tried to record and the mic does not pic up any voice but it does record a loud buzz really good!

Fair at best with playback but record is so bad that it's not useable for that function, even just for voice. Lots of background noise which I think is the tape mechanism turning inside. Awful. Returning. Cool looking but get a better quality one.

I ordered this cassette player not really knowing how well it’d play my old cassettes. But it played them very well! The sound was very clear! I was very impressed! It’s a small player and can be carried anywhere. It uses batteries but is also AC adaptable. The built in radio is a bonus. Overall I am very pleased with this product.

Good product it's working as expected

Ado durant les années 80, et ayant malheureusement perdu (volé peut-être) mon bon vieux Walkman Sony, je suis très heureux de retrouver ce feeling de réécouter mes bonnes vieilles cassettes chez moi ou dans la rue, mon nouveau Walkman accroché à la ceinture comme avant. Excellent produit, made in Germany, qualité sonore impeccable, et surtout, il possède la pince pour l'accrocher à la ceinture. Incroyable que tous les autres modèles dispos aient "oublié" cet accessoire pourtant indispensable pour les personnes des 80's ! 5 ⭐

I have bought this radio as I had another one I did not open until the end of December. I cannot record on it. The record button won't go down. It is useless.

Fue un regalo para mi hijo; muy buen producto, me hizo recordar viejos tiempos. La calidad del producto es buena, pero no excelente, en relación a su precio. Es funcional.

I bought it about a week ago, it doesn’t work after 4days i bought. Radio went out of control especially. I don’t recommend this one. Just buy more expensive one plz
